4 x 600w, To cooltube, or not to cooltube, that is the question.

I have a 10x10 room, 7 feet high.

I want to run 4x600w, I have a 500cfm 6inch ostberg blower that'll be sucking through some 6 inch can filter.


I haven't done a smaller grow like this in ages, but traveling europe, I've seen guys in apartments venting 6-8 lights out their window with similar setups.


I have only 4x600w and I'm headed to the shop to buy shades today, should I buy open reflectors or aircooled shades and pump air though the filter and through the shades?

intake is just ambient from inside my condo.

hi rube,
for 2 yrs I've been doing 2 -1000w in cooltubes out the window on a 304cfm elicent inline with good results using the central heat and air in the deep south.
with the 500cfm out the window on cooltubes you should be good.

not sure on the open hoods tho...

go vert, fans undernieth lights and exaust, from my experiance i run cooler without tubes and i run 1000's 600 are way cooler,

All glass cuts UV-B radiation, which has been proven to increase THC content. So if you're gonna use glass I would recommend a clip on UV-B light. They got em at pet stores.

Vert . Like Josey said , less glass and metal being heated plus exhaust = cooler room . Save reflector money for controling enviroment .
