4 weeks into flower - How do my babies look? 600w HPS + 730w Plasma

I gave these 6 days of vegetative 18/6 photoperiod first

These have been 4 weeks in 12/12 photoperiod

I will still give them 5 weeks of 12/12 photoperiod

Mystery

How do they look?

600w HPS + 730w plasma + ebb&flood + lucas

He is four weeks in with five weeks to go. Its too early to be starving them on a 9 week schedule. LSD usually is a 60 to 65 day plant and Super Skunk is 9 weeks. Nice job indeed Newbie but I would get to the matter of understanding how you got your deficiency. (i.e underfeeding, nute lockup etc..)

I have given them up to 1200ppm liquids, however I have changed them pretty seldom so yes, might be some defiencies there.

I know especially the Mystery side on the right is looking pale. However this has always been how this strain looks - it grows very aggressively and uses up nitrogen very, very fast. I got it from a mixed seedbag "Gypsy Nirvanas Divine Megamix" which had like 7 strains in it, or at least the possiblity to have all those there, and there were only two sativas, and as this doesn't look so tropical as Zamal, I am guessing that this has to be the other sativa in the mix, White Himalayan Haze.. Sounds pretty tempting, huh? Looks like that cross too, if you look at the bud structure + amount of frost... But I cannot be sure so that's why I am calling it just Mystery.

The Super Skunks and LSDs are fine, though.

The lights colour the plants, and because there's two different spectrums it is impossible to white balance the pictures so that the plants would look like they would be in a normal light.. I can guarantee that they are a bit greener than they look in the pictures.

The plasma does not run hot. It gives out heat as much as maybe 150w HPS. However due high price its not a good choice - its a fun toy, but wait until the prices come at least to three figures, at over 1000 EUR / 1000 USD they are just not worth it..

But you cannot always win; I was a pioneer and bought the unit to make a better tomorrow for the gardening community - and now I have to pay for it.

As what comes to the plasma efficiency, some studies with cucumber (you can find this on the net) told a story that this thing will beat 5x 400w HPS's. However, this is not what I have found out with cannabis. In veg its OK but in flower, no. Dense flowers like with MH but just doesn't perform nearly as well for flowering than a HPS. I would personally rate this 730w LG electronics manufactured plasma on the same level (in all-around growing) with a 400w MH. I used to get 0.7g / watt or more with a 600w HPS - With the 3 rounds I did with only the plasma, I only got 0.4g/w which is pretty bad..

So basically there is no point of paying four figure sums for a 400w MH. Get a 600w HPS, and be happy.

HighDesertJoe: From clone, mothers picked out of selection of 5 each for the SS and LSD but the mystery was only one... The plants in soil (lsd indica pheno to the right and the super skunk afghani leaning phenos - not really visible in the pictures much but are on the left side) are some mothers I am not satisfied of... So flowering them away

stonedwarrior: They are not so big. That white power cable going up on the right side of the picture is about 10mm in diameter and on the foreground that is a regular beer can cooler, so... They have chance of getting big in the coming weeks, but we'll see. Maybe I'll fuck this up and they die tomorrow.

Now the ppm's are running at 800, 730 and 600.. Thinking that instead of adding Lucas I'd add just Advanced Nutrients Big Bud (NPK 1-17-38 or something like this).. Then on the other hand the mysterys look like they do not have enough nitrogen, maybe I should run Lucas to the end..

What do you think?

The unit is the PSH0731B model from LG Electronics, 4500 kelvin color temp, 120 degree reflector. Creates about 58750 lumens. You can easily find information about it on the net.
