Damn that light is a ripoff. You can get dual bulb 4' T12's at home depot or lowes for 10 dollars and bulbs for a few more. You can have a very nice vegging light rack for super cheap. Just my two cents.

Yea thats definately way too expensive IMO. Your mostly paying for the pretty aluminum fixture.

I get 2' T5HO self ballasted bulbs for 23 bucks cdn each and even that is expensive. I buy them anyhow because theyre super sleek and easily mountable/movable though.

But yea, T5's rock. :smile:

You can get a nice 4' shop light at Wal Mart for $10 and a 2-pack of 40w bulbs for $10. The daylight bulbs (6500k) are a little over 3000 lumens a piece. Why spend $160 for the extra lumens when you could buy tons more cheaper lights for that price.

3000/40 = 75 lu/w <=normal fluro
5000/55 = 90 lu/w <=55w fluro
6300/70 = 90 lu/w <=70w hps

They actually are about the same efficiency as a small hid light but the price of $160 you could get a 250w or 400w which are much more efficient:

50000/400 = 125 lu/w
29000/250 = 116 lu/w

All in all not worth the $.
