3x7 Room For Growing

I was wondering what everyone's feelings are on lighting(and any other suggestions you may have) for a 3x7 room. I would prefer one light but I suppose I could do two if it would really make that much more of a difference. I already built an air conditioning unit into the wall and I'll be working on the vent to the attic this week. Any advice on this would help as I'm looking to order a new HPS light, ballast, hood, sulfur vaporizer(will i need one?), charcaol/carbon filter/ high cfm fan(i have one for inside the room) and insulated hose.

I was wondering how to cover the bottom of the door so no bugs can crawl through. I'll have panda film overlapping the door but that isnt going to prevent pests...hmmm...I'm worrisome about pests...eek

Any advice on what direction i should go in would be awesome. Thanks for the help in advance!

Oh I'll be growing in hempy buckets also!

Hmm, going to be an interesting one. Might also depend on how skinny(or not) you are.
Running two lamps in the 7' of depth can definatly get you more buds. But for example with 2x600W lamps, usually that fills a 3x6 table with tons of light for 2lb+ of bud when grown right But then how would you get to the plants in the back . . .

id run two bulbs in a 'godzilla (2 bulb hood) 1k hps 1k mh
im currently spanning a 1k mh in a 4x 10 space... i sugest u use mylar so the lowerleafs get lightreflection and dont get all lanky fron streching...

with the mylar u can hang the light a bit farther up and not lose the light... it just is reflected infinatly untill it hits a plant.. a bit more even dispersal too.

I like the room but how is your water system configured?? It would be a pain to get to the back if you needed to adjust the light or had a problem with one of your plants. Nice set up though..

I've spoken to my roommates(we are all patients) and they agreed that I should add two feet to make it 5x7. This will give me room to put in a 3x5 table. My hempy buckets will sit on top of the table for easy watering. Hempy buckets are great because they apply the hydro method with hand watering and you can use all sorts of containers for it. I am going to have a seperate vegging/cloning section somewhere in the house...not too worried about that right now....but we will get to it at one point. With that said I will only need HPS lights for this room. How do I go about providing enough light for different strains (indica vs sativa vs hybrid) without messing up the strain next to it. I want to have a perpetual harvest that comes out each month. Thanks for all the input so far. Once I start getting the supplies I'll post pics of the project!!!!!!!!!! :rasta:

Difficult decision on those strains. It looks like it's going to be some sort of chemdawg or sour diesel for the sativa side and some sort of purple like purple erkle or even possibly another easy indica. Any suggestions on some amazing, yet easy strains to grow? Thanks!

google: hempy buckets. it is a way of doing hydro without any equipment except for a bucket, some water, some nutrients, and perlite...hand watering...never over water...dummy proof....awesome! :rasta:

I'm not a fan of master kush. I find it to be rather bland. Good stone...but not the tastiest in my book. I might go with a good shiva skunk hybrid or something else easy.
