Hey guys, I've been gone from the forums for far too long so I wanted to come back and show you something I threw together last year for a friend of mine.

As with all of my threads, questions are more than welcome :D

It all started with the construction of the 6'x11' reflector. That's right, I said it, a 66 sqft. reflector!! :D
As you can see, it's fully homebuilt with light sockets and PC fans installed to help evacuate heat more efficiently.

Then I moved on to the 6'x11' table. This is a recirculating SWC setup. The nutrient solution enters through four 1/2" inlets in the center of the table and returns through four 3/4" outlets which are plumbed to create a churning effect in the reservoir. The reservoir itself holds a maximum of 600 gallons if the water pump were to fail, but only holds roughly 500 gallons when the pump is running while the other 100 gallons is up in the table.

So next, it was on to making some walls to hang on the reflector and cut and install the plastic gutter support. It's there for support of the showerboard cover that I'll show you in a later post.

On to the final touches for the reservoir. I added a 25 gallon top up tank for water addbacks and nutrient addbacks. I installed a float valve to make it easier and I even installed a line running from the shower over to the top up tank with a valve to make it super easy to refill. Also installed was an 8-port air pump with 8 air stones and a Hanna continuous meter.

I finally found some rolls of mylar so I began to upgrade the reflector and walls with it. You can see the amazing difference in reflection it makes over the flat white FRP. Also shows the FRP table cover which will house 144 plants in three inch netcups with hydroton :D

And on to the plenum box which sits on the backside of the table and is fed by a 8" Vortex Fan. The Plenum has four tubes which connect to the box and run the length of the table distributing air evenly over the entire grow area.

Wow looks like you have put a massive amount of work into this project. And that's quite a few plants.

One of the most unique set ups I've ever seen.

I've been pioneering this design ever since I found it back in 2004 on the good old site once known as CannabisWorld. Gotta give credit where credit is due. I didn't come up with this design, a guy by the name of Keef Treeez did and here's a couple pics of a few of his designs which were 4' wide x 16' long and had six 400W bulbs for a total of 2400W.

Some of the designs incorporated are my own though. The air plenum box with the tubes, The PC fans exhausting the hood, the top-up tank, the adjustable hood, and the huge reservoir with self-churning capabilites were all my design additions.
I absolutely love this design and I'm gonna be running it for a long time until I find something more fun to play with and even then I'm sure I'll have one of these running somewhere and in some way lol. :D

Wow :tiphat: Awesome setup indeed Agent Smith, I think it has to be one of the most unique setups (with your own hand made hood) here on ICMag
tagging along to see this baby crank out the buds
:smoke out:

the original ufo grow lol.. looks like something "futuristic" from the eighties.. no offense. im digging the reflectors, it really brings the roof/ceilings down... looks ;ike the dude with the 400s had a sweet even sog..

best of grows bro. ill be watching..

these grows are also easy on the eyes in more than one way...
