3x3 room setup

I've searched on here for designs & only 3 things popped up & not much there in the way of design.

Basically, I have a space that is 7 ft tall, 3 ft wide & 3 ft deep (expandable to 7ft deep if necessary.

I thinking of running a 600hps or 1000hps....or maybe a 400 to start & add a 600 later (not sure due to heat issues), in the 3x3 space initially in some form of cheap but productive/non labor intensive hydro eventually. The 1st grow will be soil. I have a "Red Greenery" style rubbermaid setup for veg.

Any1 have any thread links for 3x3 grow spaces? Like I mentioned, I searched but found nothing helpful. Just trying to find some discussions, designs, reccomendations, etc. & if there are none available in other posts....we could always start one here :headbange

If any1 wants to chime in & volunteer any insight.....it would b appreciated!

Thanks,

ID start with the 400 and see if u can hanldle cooling that then maybe move to a 600 after u have your sytem down and stable. I want to get a small grow like that going soon

I don't know how much heat is emitted by a HID light. The ballast will be outside of the growing area. Rite now I'm using roughly 250w of CFL's inside 2 18gal Rubbermaids.

Brainthor, how do u cool urs & what is ur setup like?

Immortal, that's not a bad option. I c deals on 400's all of the time.

you will get much benefit from running the 600 over the 400 in a 3x3 space. it's only a little bit more heat, since you have such a small space, you might as well use the most efficient wattage, which i believe everyone agrees that it's 600w. i don't know how you would fit 2 lights in 3x3, it would be kinda awkward. get some pics.. we love pics!!

in your space you might want to try a scrog grow. probably get the most out of a space that size with a 600w light. i think a 600 watt covers a 3X3 space perfectly. Small plant numbers maybe 1 our 2 to fill up a screen that size. anyways just an idea. later si
