3k lights in small space. No AC...

Hey so I need help with my setup. And whether or not you guys think this will work. Do you have any better ideas?

My room is 10x5... Guessing that it is 8 feet tall...

I have a 10 inch blower that will blow into the room.. I assume I will need the same thing blowing right outside... But if I have 3 lights, 2 HPS 1000w and 1 MH 1000w, will it get too hot/cold?

I think my best option is to run the lights during the night- when its coldest outside and off during the day when the two fans will work as a passive intake/outtake?

Otherwise, I have no way to regulate anything there..

Any thoughts/ideas?

Thanks!

should work fine your going to need a heater when lights off as well run exhaust every 3 - 4 hrs for a bit once your doing it monitor temps then you will know when to vent

If you live anywhere it gets 90 degrees or hotter, heat will be an issue with that many watts.

If you buy adjustable wattage ballasts, you can minimize heat on hotter days.

If you run cooltubes, again you minimize heat in your room. Each cooltube has its own 6 inch fan in my room.

If you run a 4000cfm rated Organic Air carbon filter mated to a 1140cfm 12 inch fan, it won't hurt.

If you run intake and exhaust fans on separate thermostats, you can optimize your circulation system to either exhaust maximum heat in summer or conserve heat during winter. In my setup, I can extract filtered air to heat my house when needed.

If you want details, PM me and I'll either answer here or in a PM, whichever you want. Don't want to bore anyone. bg

I will most definitely have questions.. But for now and for this thread I want to keep it here so that I have all the info in the same place..

Though it is winter and I live in Montreal... So absolutely no worries about blistering heat any time soon :p

If you put the fan so it is blowing out you probably will not need a fan blowing in. The out fan will suck new air into the room through the intake line. You'll probably be ok, but you might want to consider air cooling the reflectors, that will remove a lot of the heat. Air conditioning would also help but may not be necessary. Try running the lights for a day before you put any plants in there and see what the temps are like. Get a thermometer that will record maximum and minimum temps. The canopy is where the temperature matters.

Ok cool, as long as people think this CAN potentially work... Then I am happy. Because I will moniter for a few days to make sure fans are coming on and off at the right times to keep temp good..

Though I do not think I need a heater because I can just turn off the blowers a bit before lights going out. This way the fans will stay on while circulating the room but no new air... And the room should stay relatively warm for the 12 hrs off. Right?

Mmmm but thats the thing.. If I only had a fan blowing out- then the hot air will go out, yes.. But the room is sealed so I will need to create a passive intake-which will bring in warmish air from the room that is adjacent to it... See why I think I need two fans? In AND out?

If I did just in- then the hot air would be pushed into the next room. If I did just out- then the warm air in the next room will be pulled in...
