Well i wanted to make a post on some different things my team of people do together.

Besides some programming, server running and all this computer stuff we do some 3d printing.(on top of the whole cannabis thing)

We have been working with a bunch of different plastics ,one of them is polycarbonate. Roses and all sorts of different flowers .

Ive been pondering a certain type of flower to print, can you guess which one? Im thinking this could be utilized for possibly realistic trophies for contests and whatever else that can be thought of. Was also thinking about logos for realistic shots so its kind of a watermark right inside the photo...an easy proof of authenticity.

Also would like to know if anyone else out there plays around in this hobby as well .

Thats all for now.

If you have also noticed that is a display printed with silver and white PLA to take photos in, which was used to take the photo of the seedling and everything above.

Pretty cool. I don't have a 3D printer but I have a few friends that do and have thought about getting one.

One of my friends quit growing and gave me all of his equipment. I found some drip rings he made with his 3D printer. In fact he was just over the other day so I could get ReplicatorG working on his laptop. He's not much of a software guy and after doing a couple minutes of research I figured out that he needed an older version of Python installed as it doesn't work with the latest 3.12 version. I installed 2.6 and got it working.

He didn't really understand what he was doing and made the section where you would hook up the tubing wrong. He had done it so the tubing went inside when it should have slipped over the outside. It looks like he had tried to glue the tubing inside.

Haha nice! Thanks for dropping in!

Yea some design is involved to get things right. Its not just simply typing something in and it simply comes out.

We have a scanner here and already had success with some parts we made that are fully functional and stronger than the original. A door handle on a car made from polycarbonate.

Are metal 3D printers a thing yet?
perhaps not yet in the home/consumer market. but they're definitely a thing. i read about 3D printing variable-composition alloys - more nickel-rich over here, more iron-rich over there for example - to do funny structural engineering tricks for to build better rocket engines. i'll look it up.

those look kind of perfect for use w blumats and their 3mm hose, which doesn't need a barbed fitting at the end and could just slide right in there.

edit: i found this https://www.nasa.gov/centers-and-fa...-rocket-launched-using-innovative-nasa-alloy/

I have about six different things I've designed and printed for my grows its an awesome tool to utilise.
Here's a Bell Syphon I designed that I use in my grow to control the flooding and draining of my grow buckets .

Are you also designing the models or just printing?

I am designing simpler parts using autodesk fusion 360 like this allen key holder or the funnel for paintballs.

I also built an encasing using ikea lack tables.

Nice. I’ve been designing and 3d printing stuff from pla and petg for years now, big fan of the tech. Every grow for the last 10 years has had 3d printed adaptors, fan holders, ducts etc. so very useful.

But for aesthetic things the resin printers are much better. And zbrush. zbrush is awesome. Worth a shot if you’re looking to print detailed buds.

Nice work .
I've made a few things ,one thing i made out of necessity is my light lifter. The light I have just fits in my 4x4 tent and weighs a bit and with a full tent of plants and a scrog net I have no way to raise light . I can't just pull the cords of the ratchets out of fear of the tent roof collapsing.
