The original Skunk#1 was obtained from Nirvana about 20yrs ago.
Grew to 80-90cm indoor. The growth habit was extremely productive.

A central crown surrounded by 4-5 branches with similar size colas.
The branches grew to a similar height to central crown.
The plants held about 3 ounces each using NFT.
For reference, you could halve production for Coco.

Regarding effect, this local plant was stronger than most of the available weed. Stronger than a dozen plants I have grown since.

I was wondering about the best current option for Skunk#1.
The best remaining genetic version available?
Possibly not a new hybrid.

Cheers
I’d look at AK Baked beans. He’s got original Sensi Skunk lines before they got jacked up . Or look at the Todd McCormick lines . Hope I spelled his name correctly ..

Sensi Skunk #1 Regular Seeds, looks closer. 45-50 days fits.
It is the potency of smoke from suppliers that’s up for question.
Given Selection has continued, all Skunk#1 plants will not be equal.

If anybody has a good experience with company strain to share.

Medium Height Plant.
40-60 day.
Large crop.
Potent.

Pay some attention, don't mix up the terms Sensi Skunk and Sensi Seeds Skunk. Sensi Skunk is a strain by Sensi Seeds who also have Skunk #1 and Super Skunk, also Shiva Skunk iirc. I have grown their late Sensi Skunk fem, Super Skunk fem, Skunk#1 regs and Maple Leaf Indica regs. The Skunk #1 would take a bit longer, around 55-60 days and was probaby the same beans as their Maple Leaf Indica, tall, stretchy, spear shaped buds, no real difference between them. The same goes for Sensi Skunk and Super Skunk. Both pretty much the same, smaller compact indica plants while Sensi Skunk was a bit more on the garlic side and Super Skunk more on the sweet side. These two strains finished in 45-55 days and were a bit more potent than Skunk #1 and MLI. Sensi Skunk and Super skunk were more relaxing, while Skunk#1 and MLI had a mixed feeling.
You could make everyone of them yield higher with the right training.

What about White Label Genetics? I believe they are an offshoot of Sensi Seeds. Their mission is to 'bring back' some of the original strains.

I recently ran 2 of their "Special Skunk". It's OK, I guess. Nothing special. However, I still piss on Oregon Elite Seeds where I got them for not sending breeder packs. They could have put any seeds they found on the floor into a vile and wrote Special Skunk on it. LOL

Still, notwithstanding the potential for bullshit with Oregon Elite Seeds involved. It might be worth looking at White Label for older strains.

DO NOT Buy from Oregon Elite Seeds. They re-packaged mine and the Special Skunk I grew was not like any other skunk I have grown. I think Oregon Elite just gave me whatever seeds they had and put them is a vile with WHITE LABEL written on it. Stay away from Oregon Elite.
