hello everyone, this thread should be kept clean and just comments and questions about the crop. This is a joint op between me and outdoor kush, im sure he will drop in here at some point. At this point we are about a month into veg and hopefully flipping soon.
Genetics are blueberry skunk, chemjack, giesel, funky dwarf, hashberry, lemonpurp. Ask if you have any questions, i will answer to the best of my ability. We are only vegging under 2000 watts.

Looks great!

How many plants?
What are the dimensions of the grow space?
Are the clear rubbermaids simply to catch runoff, keep things tidy, and organized?

edit: I'm also curious, the cages in the last photo are obviously to support them later on, but how much of it do you expect to be grown in?

hey! thanks for stopping in. dimensions are 8 x 12 ft. right now we have about 24 plants, and yes the rubbermaids were used for keeping things tidy during transplant as well as the runoff of water that is inevitable. As for the cages we are going to get them all to the third rung and then flower, the stretch should be interesting, also we trained them along the way by topping and things, trying to keep things bushy in there! We may be flipping into flower quicker then expected!

Hello everybody, again, here are the updates, everything is going great and we got a raptor hood and a new 1000w digital ballast and we are now officially up to our 3600w goal. all of the plants range from 18-24inches in height and have been trained through tomoato cages to try and increase yield. We are using all organic nutrients such as:
Earth juice sugar peak line
Bone meal
kelp meal
worm casting

oohhh yeah lookin' nice!

I know nothing about light placement other than you want leaves and buds to have it... but wouldn't vertical lighting (from the sides more) be more effective if it's growing through a cage that surrounds the plant rather than a screen/netting that is above the plant, horizontal the same as the lights... ya know?

I'm watchin :watchplant:

hello, thanks for stopping in, and yes some vertical lighting would also work well, the only thing is that the way you are talking of may cause the room to heat up a bit more ( if you are talking of free hanging bulbs) although we do have an intake and exhaust for the whole room we feel that it is necessary to vent the lights as well so it would make things a bit too hot, just in our situation though. thanks for your input man, repping you now. maybe we will throw a free hanging vertical bulb or two in there :dance013:

Does anyone here have any info. on ozone air scrubbers, we will be getting one soon and are looking for some reputable feedback about them.

I meant more like vertical hung cool tubes.

When I was looking at an ozone generator as a form of odor control, I learned real quick that it's toxic for humans as well as plants. Most people with proper ozone gen setups dump their dirty air into a space unoccupied by people or plants, have the UV light ozone gen in there running 24/7, and then vent outside from that 'dirty air' dump room through a carbon scrubber.

Look at a Uvonair 1000, 3000, or 5000 depending on how many cuft the room is respectively. Although, I don't know if that number is for the size of the dump room, the grow space, or some sort of combination of both... I'd guess just the dump room.

Wow thanks for the info. on those man. I have been researching them thouroughly now and notice there is a dumping room you may need, goes to show once again to not listen to the guys at the store. thanks Whatthe215!

UPDATE

hello everybody, we are 7 days into the flower and the pistils are coming along nicely :) Is anybody else getting a very early spring? The poppys are already blooming here in socal. Anyways, we got a new raptor so we are now up to 4200 watts, a good number indeed. We moved some of the plants outdoors into a greenhouse for a apring crop as well, so this thread will cover that as well. We also started using deuce deuce from Humblodt nutrients. We had a little potassium deffeincy, it is all fixed now though.

Nice to see you in here Guyute :) we have some of the infamous giesel x ssh c99 as well as the funky cross in there, they are great strains, ran them a couple times now! and as far as the chem cross girl from last season, it was great! great smoke, yield and especially i was fond of the growth habit it posessed!
