yes the less light a day you give your plant the quicker it will mature..when the plant gets that kind of cycle it thinks winter is coming fast so it try to mature before frost or winter..this is with many plants that will do this!

The secret to rushing harvest without sacrificing too much in yield is in splitting the photoperiods up.The first 30 days you want to pack on the foliage so its best to stay with 12/12,after 30 days you can switch to 10/14 to save a week or so without too much sacrifice in yield.

iv e got a plant in my room thats on 10hrs light 14 off because i need to get rid quickly, and it doesnt seem to be flowering any quicker!!

You wont see much difference the first 30 days, thats why its good to stay with 12/12.The plants still vegging for a few weeks no matter the photoperiod, best to switch to more dark hours the last 30 days.

Early Maturing.

Early Maturing.

Hi, I tried the 10/14 method getting plants to mature early. Yes it worked but the yield was significantly reduced. Unless its an emergency that you need your plants to mature I would not bother.

All the foliage for flowering is produced during the first 3-4 weeks thats why you want an even photoperiod. When you hit the blooming phase with a 10/14 photoperiod little is lost because your plant has stretched normally.
