3 weeks into veg and my leaves are curling

I am growing Grapefruit from Female seeds and she is about three weeks old from seed. I started nutrient treatment last week and she has been doing this since saturday. I went way easy on the nutes, about 1/8th teaspoon per gallon, of Ionic grow nutes. My PH is hovering around 6 and 6.4 WHat has happenedto my baby? THanks

looks like it needs more fresh air circulation and movement, a little less heat and that light moved up just a tad.

What's the temps, RH%, airflow and ppm of the nutes? It's definitely a form of moisture stress, now just gotta figure out what's causing it.

BTW, you'll want to drop your PH to around 5.8 using hydroton...

I've got the exact same problem....not quite as bad but still the same none the less. I can't find my "working" camera or I'd just post some pic's so bear with me while I piant you a picture......

My situation is hydro, pure blend pro veg, started out for the first 2 weeks following the instructions...7.5ml per gallon. Plus, Liquid Karma....I believe it was 5ml per gallon. The strains are as follows....LifesaverXWhite Widow, Lifesaver, and White Widow. I'm in an ebb and flow set-up that I just completed...Flood times are every 2 hours for 5 minutes while lights are on and once while they are off. Humidity stays between 45-55%, and the temps are stay fairly consistent at 75-78 degrees. For light I have a single 400 watt MH that is about 18" from the canopywhich is on for 18 hrs a day. pH started at 6.0 and I slowly brought it down to 5.8. TDS started out at about 480 for the first 2 weeks.

Now, I changed the nutes out to what the 2nd week calls for which is 15ml per gallon for PBP Veg, and 10ml per gallon of L.K. which brought the TDS up to 760 and the pH went down to about 5.5 so I jumped it back up to 6.0 but have been adding pH up since to try and get it up to about 6.3.

Everything was looking great. Growth was crazy for the first week. Till I noticed that the very edges of the leaves were starting to fold upwards. Not as bad as your's Moneyshot, but I don't want to let it get that bad either. I had actually thought it was heat stress or a MG deficiency. So first I moved the lights up another 6-8" but the temp probe is right at canopy level and there was no change in temp after moving the light. I mean, it's just barely even warm to the back of your hand. Certainly not hot enough to burn anything....or at least one wouldn't think.

I've got all kinds of books and nothing nowehere shows a pic, or describes what I'm seeing here with these ladies and germs.... Any clue anyone? I thought I had everything pretty much dialed in this time? Better thing again I guess :pointlaug And this startedBEFORE I changed the nute mix out. I thought that might fix it. But that was Sunday and there isn't any differece really...not getting any worse but not looking better. Anyone :chin:

too warm, needs more fresh air.

Remember; Fresh air is your friend.

in my experiences when my leafs did that it was from

1 high heat/radieant heat from the bulb.
2 low relative humidity RH.

check out the sticky at the top of the sick plant infiramrary forum, 'guide to sick plants, ph, and pest troubles'. im pretty sure yours looks like the heat stress picture.

ywhat lighting are you using and how close is it ? Looks like heat issues or low RH like sandman stated
