I got the 3 ton single zone mini split.

Where I bought it from it is a company that imports and exports.

Now they did not have an installation kit.

Does any one know where I can buy one or do I have to go to the hardware store and pick brass pipe and liquid tie for the electric part of the installation.

I use to work with a electrican so that half of the work id easy.

But the vaccum part is what I need help with.

If anybody has hooked one of these up and can help me out with mine.

Glad to see you made the jump. Check out www.johnstonesupply.com There may be one in your area. They carry many types of line sets (copper tubing with insulation & flare nuts). They also sell the fitting you need it called (R410A Access Fitting) item# B15-154 its about $10.00.

Johnstone supply did have a line set for me but it only comes in 15ft or35 ft the unit is charged for 25 ft.

The guy there told me I can still use the charge in the unit and use the 35ft line set. What do you think about that?

Thanks for the link I have the store right by the house too.

Also the unit use's r22 do I still need that fitting?

Thanks for the help bro I will post pic I just ned to get my cam back for my sister then you can see the mini.

It is not that mini it has 2 fans one on top of each other.

So now I have to buy the line set and vacc pump and gauges.

It is a 36000 btu air conditioner with the cold coils physically remote from the hot coils and the compressor. So that way the compressor could be outside and different sets of cold lines can be ran to cooling units in various rooms.

You will not need the A-410a access fitting for your system. I'm thinking your system should have 2 access fittings on the condenser 1 for the liquid side & 1 for the suction side. As for using a 35' line set I see no real problem there, you mite be an ounce or two low on the charge but no big deal. How bout just cutting the line set to fit and re- flaring one end of the tube... 2 fans?? I don't know what your trying to say... Also check e-bay for used R-22 gauges, flaring tool and a vacuum pump. Once again good luck on your install.

IMO you do NOT want to use r-22 gauges, as 410a works at approx. double the pressure and r-22 gauges aren't made for that, (you risk personal injury)plus the oils used in r-22 versus 410a are NOT compatible. Mixing oil can & will cause compressor failure and there will be NO WARRANTY. It sounds like you have a 3 zone condensor and 1 evaporator. Is that right?

Smokerman thanks but he was mentioning 410a my system doesn't use 410a it uses r22 and my ubit is big it has two fans instead of 1.

I didn't know you can cut the line set but I will think about it and I am going to do a small run I think I might be able to get away with the 15 feet.

Thanks for all the replys keep it green and safe brothers
