3 liter pots?

OK guys, I am in a situation, I have a big girl who is alternating and needs to be put in flowering, but I can't because I also have 8 other little ones...The little ones are in 16 oz. beer cups and are growing great, about there 5-6 node, they are ready to be transplanted so I can veg them more, and find out there sex...I can't use my normal pots I normally use because they are wider at the top and they don't stack neatly in the room and there's not enough room for 8 of them...My idea was to use 3 liter soda bottles just cut the top off? I want something that is skinny around, but tall, which is just what MJ likes...What do you guys think, and what could I use to keep the light out of the clear bottle?

I would have to guess that the ones in the cups are rootbound by now. A 3 litre bottle will buy you a little time but they will grow out of them quickly. You might end up having to expand your flowering area so your plants can have the proper pots for them to grow. I am usually in 3 gallon pots at thirty days if that is any help....

Also have a space problem... I'm going to try in 2lt pots!!!
Many smaller plants with a short veg...

Good luck there Killa!!!:D

Try some growbags. They come in a ton of different sizes, and are very vertical like you are looking for. Tall and skinny. I love them. Here's some pics:

These are 3 gallon grow bags.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

Nice setup Zeuss, great idea. Off to get growbags today!!! :woohoo:
Is the cool box for height, or are you vegging clones in there?

Gourd, 64oz sounds like about 2lt, do you find this enough?

Thanks happydog!!! The box in the pic was indeed for height. This picture was right after I had transplanted the first six of the 16 cuttings that were given to me. Some rooted quicker than others, and I was waiting for all of them to develop a decent rootbase before I transplanted. I wanted to get the cuttings that hadn't been transplanted yet a little closer to my light. I think it worked, because I ended up getting a lot of budsites from each plant. Now that all 16 have been transplanted, and I'm at day 38, they look like this:

you don't hvae to keep them the same age...idk why you'd say that...

When I harvested my plants recently, I finished off in 6.5lt pots, and it seemed as if those roots could easily have fit into a 2lt pot!!! If I have 12 similar sized plants in the same space in which I had the 6 plants, basic logic will give double the yield, and for a first grow under CFL's, I was quite happy. :joint:

Here's a pic of 2 DP's just before harvest in 6.5lt square pots...

The yield from each of 4 plants on the top shelf (with the above 2 DP's on the right), some harvested early are curing in the tuppers on lower shelf. I keep each plant seperate to evaluate early and late harvest.

Things are going to get exiting now with my new 400W HPS!!! :woohoo:

If I have a problem. I can always cut the bottom of the pot out, and place this on top of a similar size pot to double the depth.:D

Well things are all looking good around here! Happydog the 64 oz's work great for vegging. 16oz cup into 64 oz cup into 3gal for finishing works good for me. I've never finished anything in the 64oz. I have a few c99 crossed at about two weeks 12/12 in the 64's and I thnk I'm gonna transplant them into bigger pots to finish cause I don't wanna deal with rootbound.
KillaKron keep us posted!
