3 fingered leaves?

hey all just started a grow recently from clones (white widow & power skunk) and they have been vegging for 2 weeks tomorrow . im not too sure if this is a big problem or not but i want to be sure.

my problem is that the plants had normal 5 or 7 fingered leaves but have now gone to 3 fingered leaves on 4/8 of my plants. is this a problem?

the plants are under a 600 watt HPS on 24 hours of light. the room has mylar on 3 sides around them. they are in 5 gallon grow bags with a 50/50 mix of compost and potting mix from the local garden store. the compost and potting mix both have added fertilsers which say should be subsequent for 4-6 weeks. i watered them last night with a blood and bone solution of 10ml/2 ltrs. i am using tap water. the temp in the room ranges from 70-80f. i have a rotating fan for air circulation also.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

No problem. :D

It is a combination of genetics and the stress/rigors of cloning. Some plants do this to begin with and then revert back to producing 5/7 fingers,, while others may produce triple fingers for the rest of the growth/flowering with the odd 5/7 thrown in.

So long as they are healthy the plants will distribute available light amid the leaf growth to form a solid canopy. Check them from above/ over-head

Hope this helps

Hey Mr.Jones,
Nice looking plant!
I agree that it's annoying but what can we do about it huh. I'm happy as long as they still produce nice fat buds.:smoke:

in my theorie strains which only produce one center cola are more common to bug around ... i mean durban poison is a pure sativa and was the most extreme case in my rooms!

Hey Icetoker,

I wouldn't say it is a indica trait as my plants are probably half and half. they are white widow and growth is extremely vigorous hence why I didn't think it was too big a issue.
