Would 2x600W or 1kW on a mover be better in a growtent of 4'x8'?
I'm thinking of having 4x8=32 2gallon netpots on trays in it,ebb&flow in coco

how are you growing your plant's?........ with 32 in a 4 x 8 it dont sound like a sog..... 600 dont dig as deep as a 1k if your growing "tree's" ....

if flowering from clone id say the 600's.... if scrog id say the 1k

why can you do 2 x 1k ?

32 plants is a LOT for me, its as close to sog I dare to go.
I'm thinking I'd veg for 2-3 weeks, then flower... Bad idea?

2kw is just to much electricity for my bill... I'm paying 100$/kW per month!
My bill is now about 70$/month,so a 200$ jump to that is just to big for my liking

The 2 X 600w is more flexible as solution (you can run one light or two, if for instance summer temps make it very hot in the tent, or if you also want to use the tent for veg, then 600w is enough) and - provided that you can deal with the heat - will produce more wattage/yield.

Also, if you're worried about cost, the 600W HPS actually puts out more lumens per watt than the 1000W HPS.

I think I'll go with the 2x600W, without a mover I can aircool them... But will it be ok, 600W@4'4?

A have a 600W at the moment and the trimming is A PITA! Its in a 3'x3' space! Don't what that fluffy bud, hate to trim it

id second the 2 600s ona mover.i light mover and a trolley. the 600s will cover bout a 3by3.use a sun2 reflector to get a better spread.also, dont let any light spill onto the floor.keep it contained with reflectix on the sides. chaeck out stoneys thread.hes covering a 4by 8 table with 2 600s on movers.hope that helps.dont forget youll get overlap in between the light as well/
