2nd opinion on sex of these 2 plants?

D

DuhBlec

Hello! Trying to "weed" out my bagseed males as early as possible, 99% sure I've tagged 2 right here, but being my first time I wanted to make sure before they get the boot! I've got 4 females so far, woot! Thank you!

~peace~

And my advice to you as a new grower is wait till you can tell yourself. New growers start asking what sex it is within a week of flipping. Even people who have grown for years just wait till they know for sure. Give it another week and you'll know for yourself.

A round ball is never a sign of a female. I'd pick up a book and do some research if you can't sex a plant. No offense at all but step your game up. This site has all the info you need start reading.

Do the little balls have claws on them? They look male but that first one doesn't seem to have claws...I've had female preflowers not pop out pistils right away...just show a calyx that looked kinda like a male preflower.

They look male though...

Isn't that why I'm in the new growers forum? Thanks though.

Yes you should be able to just ask your question and get answers.:dunno:

Round 'balls' are an obvious sign of males but a male can also look like a little green lobster claw.
Tapered (upwards) like a thin volcano will usually be female, wait long enough and you'll see two white hairs (pistols) to confirm it is female.
Try looking at lots of pics so you see the slight variations.

Sweet! Thank you! That definitely helps, just trying to get a feel of what to look for early in these males.. right now I've only got 2 males out of 7 bagseed! So feelin' pretty good about it :jump:

Thanks for everyones POSITIVE input!

There is.. I've done hours of reading and lots of research. Just thought I'd verify my findings with some experienced growers here. It's about the only place I can share thoughts about my plants! I'm gonna move these 2 into a different room and give it a few more days just in case.. thanks again!

And sometimes you'll get answers you don't want.

This is NOT school, you can show your answers to others, if people don't want to answer the guy then stay out of his thread, he was already pretty sure he knew but wanted to confirm his findings.
I get messages all week from new growers who are scared to ask questions because of the crap that comes with any answers, that my friend is wrong!
First and foremost ICMag is a forum to discuss cannabis, without the discussion there would be f*** all to search for! my $0.02
