Welcome to grow #2, glad you stopped by

First grow was straight CFLs, 2 females, had a bunch of problems but harvested 21 grams total. This time I switched it up a bit and (hopefully) learned from prior mistakes. wish me luck

SETUP:
4 plants, bagseed
Gardner's Gold Organic Soil w/ added perlite (really like it so far)
Also soil has a cup or so of dolomite lime, stuff work wonders. plus a lil bone meal.
2 48" floro tubes, 4100k and 5000k along with 2 13w daylight CFLs and 1 26 daylight (after breaking a bunch)
For flowering probably switch to either 2 3000k tubes or a 3000k and a 4100k along with 3-4 maybe more 42w 2700k CFLs
MG all-purpose fert for veg, 18-18-18
Jacks Classic Blossom Booster 10-30-20 for flower
(maybe??? thoughts anyone?)

I dunno what else you really wanna know

Started germination in paper towel 9/2 thrown in soil 9/5
Given molasses twice, seem to like it 1-2 tbsp/gallon
Given fert once, except the smallest one. (1/3 strength)
Also bought a temp/humidity gauge thingy, def a good move. Temp is usually between 70 and 80, humidity anywhere from 25-65% No ideas on what to do about that besides occasional misting?

sorry for the rambling, heres some pics, some are from day 19 some are from day 33 (3 days ago now) Lst'd 2 let 2 do their thing. The tall one is taller than it looks, more pics comin soon!

one question....opinion on flowering, was gonna start in a week or so? week 7 starts 10/17!

thanks for any advice/opinions :joint:

You can flower anytime you want, considering the low penetration ability of the lights you have sooner is better. The plants look very nice and healthy by the way, grow on bro! :D

my opinion: now, utilize your lights in a most efficient manner, flower while they are short so your canopy penetration remains as good as possible for the remainder of your grow

Finally got some time to update this thing...its been a while I know

So....on day 47 ATM, Day 5 of Flowering, still no sign of sex though. Also just switched to flowering ferts. 10-30-20. My sad plant has recovered nicely, everything else is good for now. heres some pics, expect an update when I can figure out how many girls I got. (knocks on wood)

check back soon!

bahhh

3/4 are males! this sucks. probably gonna relocate the female into my bathroom and start a new grow. first grow was 2/2 females so I guess the ratio is back to 50/50

too bad about the boys... what are your temps? i've read quite a few different places that low temps (71-76 degrees i think) breed more females. i kept my temps down during veg, and i had an end result of 16/20 females. pretty f'in good for unfeminized seeds. haha

just a suggestion. anyway, can't wait to see this grow through to the end!

I'd say the temps are around 75-80 degrees lights on and off. 16% humidity.

no one has shown any interest in my one plant so I've been slacking off.
Currently day 19 or so of flowering, heres a pic or 2

she's looking pretty good for under three weeks in flower!

did you take a clone? too bad if you don't have room to keep females in stock. maybe just order feminized seeds or something if you keep getting males...

nah I didn't take a clone, i thought you had to do this before putting it in a flower cycle
am i right?

And since it didnt show sex until a week or so into flowering it was too late...

yeah, that's what they say, but if you take a growth tip from the bottom-most branches there is enough rooting hormones left to make it.

the little hairs have died and almost fallen off but you can see them. I have two clones I took off a 2-week blooming chrystal, , and they both have a ton of roots right now, just waiting their turn for the veg room. of course it took longer than veg clones, but its a way to try and save your genetics. if you're pruning the bottom anyway, why not try and make 'em into more plants? i put the cloning process i use on my thread, i'm a beginner but it works for me.

keep postin' man, all i do is this shit right now. i'll check out your thread as often as you post. laters!

thanks alot. I've pulled about a 1/2 off her, not including the main cola which should be around a 1/4. Definitely should make my goal of 1 oz so Im happy
