2k Grow Lab Med Grow

I am planning a 2k grow with my roommate. We are both med patients and this grow 100% cali legal...

Im trying to flower 12 big trees (for both of us) in one of the 4'9" x 9'6" x 6'7" grow lab grow tents...

I need tips on some good ways to achieve big plants since we can only have 6 plants mature a piece, and there's no law here that says how big the plants can be.... We may try to get docs exemption to allow 10 or more but at the time 6 is the most mature I can have....

Right now we have 10 clones, 2 are going to be mothers so really we only have 8 so when it comes time to flower we will probably just buy some moms from a club (the large bushy clones some places sell for 40$) and flower them out with the 8 that are already started since they started about a week or so ago....................

The equipment we have so far is:
1k Hortilux Super HPS
1k sun system 10 ballast
sun system super sun 2 reflector
40# 6" carbon filter
2x 6" Vortex fans (one for cooling light one for carbon filter)
400w ballast, cmh bulb, hood (for vegging) (in the mail)

The equipment we need is:
additonal 1k horti
another of same 1k ballast
same super sun 2 reflector
1 more vortex for cooling the other 1k
another 400w cmh, bulb, ballast hood setup (for veg to have 800w total just for vegging the mini trees)
GR145L Grow room 4'9" x 9'6" x 6'7"

right now I have everything in the first list but the 400w cmh setup i am waiting on that to get here... then i will really begin to veg these clones/moms

am I crazy for only running 12 plants together in the 4x9 ??? Will I have empty space or is there a way I can grow big plants that will take up the whole tent???

btw Im running Purple Nepal & Purple Barney so far may add Jacks Cleaner & Grape Ape to the line up soon.... Currently under 84w of CFL's right now so no pix but as soon as I hook up the 400w cmh I will take some and update this thread with the progress of the grow... In the meantime please leave tips and suggestions.

instead of conforming the plant to you grow area (scrog) why not conform your grow area to your plant and go vertical. I have 6, 2' + foot plants around a single 1000w. If I did this horizontal I would probably get much less because of the lack of canopy penetration. with a vertical bulb the light only has to penetrate the width of the plant which is generally less than the height. on top of this lights are easier to cool (cooltube) you don't get hot spots, and you get nugs all up and down a 4+ foot plant, no popcorn. Co2 would also help you to get max yield with few plants.

^vert 1k's have been known to be very effective - even w/out cool tubes. reverse-engineer from hvac p.o.v. expect heat and practice how to disperse laterally, then vertically.
run set up w/ lights on+no vegetables for few days and note temp fluctuations.
practice movement in area. maintainenne of big tomato plants can/will be arduous task if not accounted for at inception.
position bulbs at ~ center of plant(s)=entire plant is canopy.
can even consider doing less than twelve. four would encompass the entire space - whatever the space - given time+light+high temps.

i already have horizontal reflectors im not just gonna ditch them and start growing vertical

.... but thanks for the ideas maybe if i didn't already have all my stuff

one could veg for a 6 month time and maybe have only 1 in bloom
root space decides what the top growwth will be thats a fact

for a 4x9 1000w should do you fine just veg until you reach a point dont forget to save 18 inches in heighth and what ever room from the light you need so dont over veg .
thats why its nice to not have to many strains uniform

Actually that ISN'T true. In a few different California Court of Appeals cases SB420 which WAS the law that created plant and dried plant matter limits for medical marijuana patients was deemed unconstitutional (the California state constitution).

:yeahthats:yeahthats:respect::jawdrop:

for the record before that decision most counties held a possession limit of 8 ounces. So if 6 plants yielded 12lbs you would still be fuxed... but not anymore!

yea well they will still arrest you even though you would win in court it would cost a lot of money

Arrested for what? Cultivation? Cost what? A few hundered bucks for bail? Public Defenders are free and useful when they have a chance to win. If you are worrying about that you already broke the first rule... And in California you have to worry more about being robbed then getting busted.
Lets say this happened to me...

I get busted. So I choose to either get bailed out of jail, or I wait until arraignment and preliminary hearing. Either way doesn't matter. But I take a public pretender, and give them a copy of my doctors recommendation and give the lawyer the case names which the courts ruled that SB 420 is null and void. The lawyer shows the recommendation to and the case law to the judge and da. And you get let go. Its a tad bit more complicated, but not much really... Hell I just recently moved because my roommate got freaked out and called the cops when he found my grow that had been going on for a year in my bedroom that he didnt know about. Cops came to my house saw the plants, saw dr's recommendation and case law. They didn't do shit. I still moved anyways though. Ofcourse the cops didn't find guns, cash, other drugs, or crazy amounts of bud.
