the title pretty much is the question, was thining about 3 (FAN)of them, two outake, one intake. i wonder if this would be enough or an inferno FOR MY PRECIOUS LITTLE GIRLS-

depends on the fan, but I have cooled a 400 watt in a similar space with high output computer fans and a homemade cooltube

Maybe but, you can forget about using a scrubber which is a very dangerous way to go.

You want 3 equal sized holes but only one fan which goes on the exhaust. Intake fans require that you really know your stuff.

You can get a nice cpu fan off newegg dot com or the like. I have a silverstone 100+ cfm cooling a 250w in cool tube. I know this fan could cool a bigger light even if it didn't vent in to my closet (closed generally). My temps are at 80 in canopy and would get to 90 something with closet doors fully closed. Obviously this set up is temporary as I know my girls would like it more if it were a little cooler.

Well....do you already have the 250w HPS,and is the cab/tent already built/bought?

I would think a 250w HID would work in that area if you could rig a small light mover together but you would be better of using a 400w/430 HPS in that area.

General rule of thumb is to supply your plants with a minimum of 50w per square foot when flowering.

A 250w HPS hung over a 2' x 2.5' or 5 square foot garden will get the minimum 50w/square foot, but if you were to hang that same 250w HPS over a 2' x 2' or 4 square foot garden you would be supplying your plants with 62.5w/square foot.

So the maximum are/footprint the 250w HPS would illuminate in the 2' x 4' or 8 square foot cab would be a 2' wide x 2.5' long area, which would leave 3 square feet of unused and porrly lit growing area.

In a 2' x 4' are 2x 250w HPS or 1x 400w HPS would be the ticket depending on how cool you can keep things.

If you go the route of 2x 250w HPS and depending on how cool you can keep things you just might be able to turn that cab of yours into a perpetual cab with one chamber for flowering and one for bonsai moms, rooting and vegging clones.

As far as fans for ventilation and air-cooling are concerned,I would strongly advise either a 4"-6" inline centrifugal (Vortex,Can Fan,Eco Plus,Elicent) or a 6" (possibly 8") mixed vent fan (Soler & Palau/S&P).The inline centrifugals and mixed vent fans move alot of air and hold up to duct losses/ high static pressures better then any other type of fan.The inline centrifugals usually move a little more air and use more power then their mixed vent cousins, they are also reportedly louder then the mixed vents as well.
