I have a few grows under my belt. I still consider myself a noobie. Education is BLISS, thats why I am so glad this site exists. In the past whenever I had a problem, answers were either found here or at OG. I now want to share with you my current situation and learn what I need to get my Ladies up-to-date. But 1st, let me explain my set-up..

STYLE - SOIL
Soma Bed
2 - 5 Gallon
1 square BED & 1 Orange Bucket
Hydro balls, plastic chicken wire, root cloth, at corners steaked with ½” PVC, length 12’, run thru HB,Chix wire, & root cloth. It provides oxygen to the roots.
mix- perlite & top soil. Topped with Hydro balls & white plastic under plants.

Cool Tube w/ reflector

Temperature morning 60 – day 70 - evening 78

i dont think ive ever posted a thread, im not sure, but you dont get nutrient deficiencies with hydroton ontop of the soil?

Ive used hydroton balls b4 & never had any problems.

if you r not sure about ever posting a thread, u should click on ur user id, i found a few, or maybe THREAD is not the right word.

anyway, a friend of mine has a PH reader that always reads 7. he believes that it can't always be 7. He's unsure, so he doesn't bother with it anymore.

what can i do to prevent any future GREEN Leaf turning a lighter color to finally a CURLING brown Leaf?

I was suggested to begin using PureBlend Pro bloom 2.5-2-5. I still haven't seen any recovery and its already been 2 weeks.

Once i learn more on how to utilize this forums tools, i will then post pictures.

was the brown leaf crispy? if it was then yeah, you probably just need to give it some nutrients.

ive had problems using hydroton it caused ph problems & locked up my nutrient intake it was in hydro but it can happen mixed as well. it seems to happen with cheaply made hydroton. at a hydroponic store you can find perlite that are large pieces to
allow oxygen to get to your roots if the hydroton doesnt work out for you.
if you use good soil to begin with you wont have to add any nutrients or worry about deficeincy problems. i recommend using 100% organic soil like (fox farm) or
if you have a osh near by (sunland soil) they have bat guano & earth worm casting & lots of other stuff already. i use this stuff when i grow outdoors & never add nutrients
with ever a problem. but sometime i add guano at the last month of fowering to give it a boost.
