Hello people..

my project is a growroom 4x4 with a double light aircooled reflector (growzilla) and i am planing to grow there with one 600w hps and one 250w hps so 850w from the reflector.

i see growers use strip lights like t5 for young seeds before they get their first leafs, and then they use the bright hps..

i was reading that the reason we must not use hps to seeds is because the plant will stretch having the hps far away from the plant because of the heat..

i was wonder if i can use the 250w hps to baby seeds till the grow 5-7cm and then use both of them (600w + 250w) i will have any problems like stretching the plant or something like that by this way?

i have one strip light that is called root !t it is t5 but it is only 55w and i have only one, usualy growers use 4-5 of them, thats the link of it http://www.hydrogarden.com/product/03-140-410

what should i do for better and faster results use the 250w hps in the aircooled reflector with the vent sucking from the reflector?

or use this strip light?

thank you :tiphat:

I think the 250w would be fine. You may have to have it a little further away than ideal but you can always pull a little stretch back once they're under a 600w.
I have had seeds thriving under a 250w, once established a little, growth should be quicker than fluorescent.
Good luck.

Yes, seedlings need a lot of light.
250 is good. The best results I ever had was 400w.
Straight from germ.
If they stretch you need more light.

Hi mate, yes a 250w is fine, just keep the distance and temps correct and they will love it ! Even without a large outdoor space where natural sunlight can be available, you can take advantage of kits, grow lamps, fixtures, timers and contactors, reflectors, accessories, and ballasts to set up the correct and adequate light that will stimulate plant growth as natural sunlight would do.
