My first Grow..

This is 3th day of flowreing.. What are you think?

What kind of soil are you using? Looks like you could use a lot more perlite in your mix. Without good drainage and aeration it's a lot easier to suffocate and drown your roots, which need constant oxygen also.

Were you using a high nitrogen fertilizer during vegetative? Maybe it's the lighting or camera exposure but those leaves look a little on the lighter green side to me (which can indicate not enough N in your ferts). (Now you're in flower, you'll of course want to use a lower N fert anyway at this point)

Other than that, they look healthy overall. Good luck!

I'm looking to build a small cab with either a 400 or a 250, I am leaning towards the 250 but i came across a site Businesslights.com which has the best prices i have come across Bulbs are $10-12, and a ballast kit for a 250 is around $50. I don't have a lot of electrical experience but will learn. What exactly do I need to purchase to build my light, what should I do about a reflecter and this seems like a more industrial site, will these cheap bulbs and ballasts function to grow marijuana? Sorry if I have overlooked something obvious but unfortunately I don't have as much time as I would like to learn about this and am in a hurry to get set up.

I have also noticed the Sun System with the enclosed ballast, $170 is as low as I have seen for those though and that is before shipping and without a bulb. I guess convenience costs, but I also believe that you get what you pay for. By no means do I have a unlimited budget and I'd like to spend as little as possible but I can pay what I have to.

anyone run a sog under a 250 in a 2x2 area? I could fit 12-16 1 gallon squares and run a perpetual with my veg space. Anyone tried this? I just want to run more strains than the 2-3 I run in my space with bigger plants in 2 gallon pots... hmmm

I just bought a Lumatek 250 watt digital ballast, just have to go pick up my MH and HPS bulbs, set it all up in my new cab and I'm back.

I used to run a 400 HPS before then I moved and was limited to 180 watts of CFL's I can't wait to get a HPS running again and I think a 250 for my personal use is just perfect

well about 12-16 1 gallons will "fit" fine in my tent, not sure if sog growers leave room around pot for growth, or jam em in and keep em small?

you can only fit 6- one gallons? are they square pots? seems a little amount for a 2x2 area

well my area is 24 x 18, but i only have access from one side so i need some room to move them around. even so i got a better yield from six big plants than 10 smaller ones. with my rotation schedule it's never really a sog. always a fresh start.
i pulled 115 grams this last time using 1 gal & 5 liter pots. i'm toying with the idea of using 2 gal pots. i have to re-work the box a bit. gonna try and make a mini stadium, well not really, but have some adjustable levels. quality, not quantity, we're after. even so 115 grams last me awhile. gonna try for bigger plants, longer veg, bigger pots, raise the light & glass.

Here's what's growing under my 250 right now. Day 66 in flower, nearly ready for harvest. The strain is Lemon Skunk, cloned from the last plant I harvested. Excellent medicine!

250 watters are the truth if you stick to ur maintenance and so on. im currently on my 3rd grow and my 1st grow i pulled 5oz 8gs from 4 plants of hawgs kush. all with a cfl veg and 250 watt hps 9 week flower and i lst'd the shit out of my plants also.im currently doin 1 plant to see how much i can pull from a single lst'd plant. its a trainwreck x blah blah.. i dont remember what the clone was but i know it was bred with a trainwreck plant. Happy Growin yall

just got this today galaxy 250 my first electronic ballast very impressed that its dead silent,runs way cooler then a magnetic & lightweight.
