250w HPS users....

Hello all!
I have 1 Northern Lights about reay to be harvested ,and i have 2 NL and 2 SkunkxHaze in 5th week of veg. Im using a 250 HPS in my flower closet, and i use a 250 cfl in the veg closet.

Im wondering if i can move the 250 cfl (its blue) into the flower room alongside the HPS 250? So i would be flowering with the 250 hps and the 250 blue CFL together. What you guys recommend?
There will be 4 plants in there in the beginning atleast, untill i know the gender.

And the other thing im wondering about is this; in the last 2 weeks of flowering, will the buds get fatter, or will the growth stop and the trichoms just change colour?

I love this thread btw. Lots of great buds being grown with the 250. I find it keeps the enviroment about perfect in my cab with the 250.

here's a couple new ones from my journal, big plant is thai at 56 days flowering, there's a small blue dream in there at 30 days flowering, a myster-e bag seed that is looking good also at 30 days flowering (the light green one), i recently moved more in from my micro veg box and now have 8 plants in this tiny space, defoliating i feel is helping immensely with the 250watt hps reaching through

15 days left, (sry no pic). The colas started to foxtail 1-2 weeks ago and are now pushing out mega pistils. Any advice on when to harvest? On time or give it another week. I'm in no rush and it's my first time with this plant.

keep checking the crystals, when they're like half cloudy/half amber, some folks like to harvest a little bit earlier though and some plants may do a bit better earlier than later, it's kind of a preference thing, but half cloudy/half amber is a good general rule of thumb

Maybe just littlebit different consistency or what ever it's call'd, because of blue CFL.

Hi,

Cause of the high temps in summer i use a small cab with a 250W hps.
Distance Lamp to Plant aprox. 10-15cm (4-6 inch) i use a vent that blows between lamp and plant so i dont have to worry much about crusty leaves.

I also LST my plants to keep a low profile so the 250 can penetrate them well.

Hey guys, i have a cab thats 25"x21"x49". I was originally going to go 150 hps. But i can buy a 250 hps ballast kit from htg and assemble a diy cool tube for the same amount that i wouldve spent on my 150 setup.
These are the things ill be using

4in inline fan

Ill also have some sort of fan inside the cab to push the air around and also strengthen the stems of the plant. Ill have passive intake holes. So would i be able to handle the heat of a 250 hps if im pulling air through the carbon filter, through the cool tube and out the cab through the exhaust?
Id appreciate any advice or comments on this setup.

It's a medium size cab but I'd go with the 6" fan, don't think the 4" will be enough with the carbon scrubber. Or get the 4" inline "duct" fan to vent the cooltube and the 4" to vent your scrubber through the grow chamber.

Outlaw og sick ass S1 and here she is at day 28 when I took these pics a few day ago.She is in roots organics soil with added perlite and canna coco in a 5 gallon smart pot using the gh flora all 3 and kool bloom and lil bit of budswell tea guano in between feeding if I am not to lazy.Last run with Casey Jones I got 6 and half zips I don't think I will get that with this og but would sure be nice:dance 013: she fucken stinks and for day 28 it's nice and frosty the pics don't do them justice and it looks lil messed up cuz I gave it to much N and it gave me some leaf curl it's starting to look alot better then it was.Wish me luck.

not got long left before harvest party time now i ordererd a 20x mag loupe it come today but they sent me a 14x magnification so itll have to do the crystals are milky now on both so iv started to flush her anyone know how long it normally takes for the thrichs to go amber from creamy what is the best yeilding solid bud strain under 250w hps

I'll say 1.6oz dried. Don't try to grow bushes with a 250, sog, scrog or lst and you'll get more.

yeh thanks for the advice iv got some Barney'sFarm blue cheese and advanced seeds criticical for my next grow im gonna try my hand at a scrog with tthem i was thinking tho with them strains havin different flowering times they will need there own screen or il struggle when it comes to harvest icould anyone tell me what is the best strain to grow under 250w hps for a fat yeild and a nice skunky aroma to it

could someone pls post a link for a scrog step by step guide pls it would come in handy my grow should only have a few days left my trichs have been cloudy for ages now but the buds have started to take the goodness out of the remaining fan leaves so im not far off now i bought and planted the bigbang and mama mia at the same time off picknmixseeds.co.uk i picked them 2 strains as the site said they were same height and same flowering period but the mama mia is a foot and a half taller and looks around a fortnight in front thats ticked me off aswould of liked to have harvested/dried and cured at the same time as each other my mama mia has started shooting out single nana's here and there in a last ditched effort to save there kind from extinction pics il ad later as its night time in the land of back bedroom lol i made my one of my last grows turn hermi from disturbing it at night at the end of that grow i realised a lot of light crreps under the door from the landin but easily fixed
