I got some C99 from Wallyduck a while back. These were two of the girls I found that I kept moms of. I've taken them at 60 days, 55 days, and these were taken at 51 days. 55 was great, so I'm excited to see what this round brings and how the high is.

The last two runs have been from clones. They were in 2 gallon hempy buckets 4:1 perlite/verm mix. I love the hempy

hey all - just a heads up - i'm doing a test with one of the 205W HG LED lights. replaced my 250 HID with it and seeing how it does in comparison. i was averaging well over 1gpw with the 250 so the LED has got something to live up to.

link is in my sig if you are interested

cheers

I have a question for y'all:

You know how everyone seems to agree that with a 250 you can expect average yields, in general, of 4 to 6 ounces? I mean, that's a safe generalization to make, based on everyone's anecdotal information.

But my question is, what happens when a 250 is crammed down into a small space of only 2.3 sq ft? Does it mean I could potentially yield more than I would have with a 150, just because the penetration is better, and I could grow the scrog taller?

Or in such a small space, would a 250 really be able to yield more than a 150 would have?

With a 250 the key to nice yields is LST and other training.

Here is a pic of 11 plants I had under 2 250s, one tent with 50 watts per square foot and one cab with 100 watts per square foot. I yielded almost a pound between my 2 250s.

I had alot of nice buds many in excess of 8" long.

The first pic is about 9 weeks into 12/12

Wow that is most impressive! Yes, I plan on using the old scrog method, which I've had great success with in the past. A buddy of mine, in the past, used to bring in a 4 ounce harvest of SS bubblegum every 8 weeks, under a 150w hps, in the same square footage I have now. He also used scrog. So what I'm wondering is, under a 250 instead of 150, should I be able to yield more, provided all other conditions are met, using high yielding strains, etc? Because it seems to me that the only way I could yield more than that in such a small space is if I let the scrog buds stretch taller than we used to under the 150. I don't know, I don't care. Even if I only pull in a qp, I'll be happy. It's just that I'm paying for an extra 100 watts of electricity, so....

you may get a bit more yield but if you want a good gpw yield from a 250, a bigger cab will be required. mine is just under 5 square feet and i can pull 10 ounces with a single 250 and scrog.
you need space for the buds ;)

That's kind of what I figured. Thank you for the knowledgeable response! The reason I went with a 250 is because I expect to be able to eventually have a larger cabinet, but I figured, in the meantime, I could make it work in this small one. Once I get a larger cab, the 250 will be moved to it, and a 150 will be put in this one, so I can use it for breeding and/or experimental grows.

As long as I can get a minimum of 4 ounces per grow, it will be worthwhile, as I only need to supply myself and 2 others. I am experienced with LST and scrog methods, so I'm thinking this should be a relatively easy goal. But if I could get 5 or 6 ounces, than that would be way better!

Nice bro was this the only plant?????

It was the only plant this harvest, but I harvested 3 Pure plants just a few weeks ago (and I still have a Lemon Skunk about 20 days into flower in the cab...I took clones and hope to be adding 3 more girls to the flower room soon). The cab holds between 4 and 6 plants comfortably, depending on if I use 3 or 5 gallon pots.

This is my 250w setup. This was my first grow with an hps, last was done with floro's...what a difference! Included a pic of my diy air cooled hood/vent.

Hey growincrazy...looks like a nice grow! How many times did you top that one friendly little bush you got there?

Gettin' my 250 this week folks, you've all been drivin me to madness with these grow shots. I admire CFL growers everywhere, but this pirate is ready for bigger plunder!

It was fimmed with 2 leaf sets showing so that made 4 tops..then those tops were topped also. It had a total of 9 tops growing buds, but the smallest was chopped since it was the lowest on the plant.

Forgot to mention, these are just some cheapy bagseeds so I am not expecting a whole lot from this particular plant..First grow yeilded 1.7 oz from 4 plants that were grown horribly. So anything should be better than that.

It's not so much the pot base that makes me keep it 6 plants or less, it's the space in the cab that the plants have to grow out in. I like to make sure they have plenty of room to stretch out and do their thing. I don't want to crowd them and stuff it full of plants (plus, I'm a med user who does abide by the rules and stays at or below my alloted plant count).

My average yield is just over an ounce per plant per grow. I hope to improve that as time goes on (I've only had 4 harvests thus far in my growing career, and in this particular cab).
