250w (White walls, white reflector, and hardwood floors) HPS Closet : 55"W - 45"H - 35"D.

How many plants?

What should I yeild off these plants with this setup?

Should I go Organic? or Fert blast?!

Should I SOG, SCROG, LST, ?


What would you do? What advice would you give me, ifs ands dos and donts always welcome.

SCROG man it works im telling you my plant is about 1 cubic foot and im goignto be yielding close to 2ounces of it think of the possibilitiesfor e your space im using a 100 watt stealth in acomp you could do much more with you space

9 well trained plants would fit, scrog is best for yield but I prefer topping and tying the shoots down, no chicken wires and shit.
You can expect about 100grams on your first untuned run, with a cap off of about 200grams, I've yet to see 1g/watt with a 250Watter.
Your yield will depend mostly on the strain, how long you veg it, and if you keep conditions optimal.
45" height overall is low seing as you light will take at least 12" of that plus some space, better train them low and short.
Organic is my favorite, an easy recipe is a soiless mic (Bcuzz, FFarm, Promix HP) with 30% added perlite and 2tbs of dolomite lime per gallo of soil.
Then fertilize with some PureBlendPro veg, them bloom for soil, and some liquid Karma for humics,fulvics,etc.
It's a very simple recipe and is very close to 100% organic while reeping benefits from the non-organic high release elements, most even consider PBP 100% organic.

Is this your first or one of your first grows? If so, I wouldn't recommend an advanced technique like scrog. However, I would recommend some low stress training. Keep them pruned low and the branches spread out and you could have a nice yield.

I don't know if i have this right and correct me if wrong but you are using a 13 square foot garden and only lighting with a 25 W HPS?!

You would only get 20 watts per square foot (not enough to grow nice buds).Step it up to a 600w HPS.Either that or make your grows footprint smaller to fit a 400 in it.

250w is fine for a closet, I dont know where you have been reading.... But 250 is fine. Ive seen hundreds of grow ops on OG, CW, IC with smallerlights in smaller places andsmallerlights in way larger places, with phenomenal yeild and potency.



The people telling me its not enough space/light obviously have no idea what they are talking about. So can I now here from someone who actually knows what they are talking about.

Ya know if you SCrog, veg long enough to fill the screen. I have done this with just one plant (veg for 30-45 days) use wire ties to hold branches to screen. Doing this you can get away with as few plants as you want. If you Scrog with a 250wt you may want to start out with no more than 4. Remember VEGin is your best friend when SCrogin

50 watts psf is a tried and true rule of thumb. Sure it is possible to go with more or less light, but why experiment on your first grow?

at 55" inches wide, the plants on the edge will be at least 27 inches from the bulb

Whatever bro.A 250 w light is too small for a 13 square foot garden that is only 20 watts per square foot dude but hey,I don't know how to grow so I'll just let ya keep on dreamin.You'll get buds but they won't be great,have any weight.

The entire closet is the measurements I gave, I dont planon using all this area because I need to lightproof the area, and install my light, and then add pots and plants, its going to be ALOT less then 13 sq ft. Ive seen SO MANY grows with a 150w HPS in a huge closet. with nice dense crystally green colas. Whats makes me not be able to have them in a smaller closet with a stonger light..... That doesnt make sense to me.

Ya man don't sweat the footprint, I run a 400W in a 22" x 40" with 6 plants but I don't see why it won't work, you'll just yield less and have less of a footprint, no biggie for a fresh personal supply of dank goodness.
The 50W/per Sq. foot is a guidline for upwards of .5g/watt yield, even if you don't hit that you'll do fine with a well trained plants, having only one plant is not ideal, you need rootmass to grow bud, better to have multiple plants with more collective rootzone.

You shouldnt go for a 400watt because u just dont have the height for it. Mabey if ur a real experienced gower then u can find a way to deal with the heat. But 45" height is perfect for a 250.

p.s i grow with a 250 an i love this light an it can produce amazing buds an u wont be dissapointed

You should use around 5 sq feet of the space for the growing area. You could fit 5 or 6 plants grown regularly maybe topped once, or you could do a 1-4 plant scrog. I wouldn't recommend SOG unless you have clones to grow from.

A decent grow should be able to pull around 4 ounces, more or less depending on the strain and the conditions.

Nutes are up to you, I hear a lot of good stuff about Pure Blend Pro, I am using Fox Farms myself.
