Holy Heebie Jeebies! My rot porn has a woodie! Roots and tub clean as a whistle since old nutes were replaced.



I can't wait to leave the world of Indica behind me. Well ... maybe another 83 days, 18 hours, 12 minutes and 22 seconds. The extra 20 minutes is for a quick bud bake. No way could I harvest without sampling at least one popcorn bud.

im in the process of growing a Thai-haze x Skunk (i renamed it, THUNK) in my room.
alot of ppl are growing her this year. i got 2 going, hoping for a female, and then ill be cloning, and shooting for a oneP oneP (one pound, from one plant) outdoors this year.

i know everyone is saying flower her now, but i simply cant right now. so when i sex them, i may just have to kill them both, and start from fem'd clones after seeing everyones hazes going NUTS!

T-Minus 79:10:40:08 and counting

Some adjustments to the rez. Clowntown suggested Thunks need lower nutes. My grow journal suggested the same. My EC climb was small and slow but, constant. Dropped EC to 1.1 and it's held there for 5 days now.

A couple of screen shots, above and below. I expected more stretch but, I've been running the cab with doors open and lowered the res temps to keep it under control and it seems to have worked.

The underscreen was a jungle so I cleared out a ton of fan leaves and even GASP some smaller growing tips.





BUDS! I got's BUDS! Sort of. Maybe clusters is a better word. They're just starting and I only have two. Interestingly, they're on opposite sides of the plant. First shot is from the bottom most side shoot. Second is the main growing tip





I've also found some suggestions that Thunks don't care for strong light. Wouldn't you know I found this AFTER moving from 150 to 250 watts. I can raise the hood but, can't bring myself to block the light. Well, that's what clones are for. Try things one way, then try them another and compare. What some call light and airy may be just fine to me.

haha thanks man, they are doing it all ;x Lets see.. im growing in recycled organic soil, i let it sit for a couple weeks in pales and go thru one watering and dry out, shit load of perlite and vermiculite .. thats it ;x ..and im kinda high, so if you werent talking about soil mix then it was 5 gallon buckets hah. but yeah the SD is a nice dark green.. really need to get a real camera so i can get some nice budshots and such going on, no justice in the camera phone ;o good growing man, pz out

Here's a shot of the main tip. Fair warning, it's a bigger pic for detail purposes. I used my RadioShack microscope to check for thrics and, by golly, I've got some. All clear as a bell. I'll have to see if I can get some pics with my cam's super macro setting.



Oven dried the pruned growing tips and actually got a bit of a buzz. What little high there was seemed to be head high only. No lethargy or sleepiness. WooHoo this may just be what I've been looking for.

oh dont worry man, you didnt over prune. that haze is going to overgrow your space by the time its close to finishing, is my prediction. I recommend you stay with the 250 hps (providing you can cool it adequately), it shouldn't be too much light for it once the plant becomes adjusted. feed lil bit more N if the leaves become pale from intense light, move the light farther until the plant is adjusted.

good luck with this grow, looking forward to seeing if you can finish this plant off successfully, it is one of the more challenging haze hybrids to grow in a cab. but surely worth the effort, for some old school sativa.

Thanks for the encouraging word. This is my first DWC AND my first Scrog. I don't have any personal reference to rely on. Not quite halfway home but, buds are starting to form and I'm almost out of screen so I decided to let them rise above the mesh.

I don't know what to do with the light. I've seen suggestions that Thunkers like weaker light yet, I'm afraid if I raise the light too far the plant will stretch to find it. Again, no personal experiance with sativas indoors.

One thing I do have going for me is a disinterest in couchlock. I wont need to wait for amber thrics. At the moment, I'm planning on harvesting a few with predominantly clear and the bulk with cloudy. I'll try to let some go amber just to see what happens ...

Thanks, dude. I'm almost halfway there. It's time to start thinking of starting another batch. I'd hate to have to wait another 70 days before starting a 140 day grow.

I still have a couple of Silver Haze seeds that will be done with their 2 month stratification process on the 1st. These are the seeds I actually paid for and have a 60 day flowering period. However, I'm 0-14 with the Silver Haze so far. I'm not holding my breath.
