250 Watt Lumatek, heat issues in small tent?

It's probably been asked before, sorry. :bashhead:

I want to put a 250 watt hortilux bulb with wing reflector and Lumatek ballast into a DR60, which is 2'x2'x4.5'.

I had planned on a 4" inline fan, not the can fan, more like an 80-100 cfm cheapo from Lowes or something, pulling air from the top of the tent, and pushing it into one of the cheap carbon filters like a 2600 from bghydro.

Ambient temps in the room are about 72 degrees give or take. Tent will be going in my bedroom closet, wife won't let me keep it anywhere else. I won't be using co2.

Will I have heat problems in that little tent? What should I do differently?

I also plan on running a similar setup with a 175 watt mh for a veg/mother cab.

Ok, I'm guessing it was a dumb question and that's why no replies.

So how about a Can 33 filter with 250 cfm inline fan?

Can the can 33 still do a good job of eliminating odors with blowing exhaust into the filter?

"The Dark Room DR60 is perfect for producing cuttings, holding mother plants or growing a small number of plants. This room works great with one 250 or 400 watt lighting system, or with a 2' T5 fluorescent lighting system, or with one or more compact fluorescents."

Use a cool tube instead of the wing reflector. Hook it up to a vortex fan (maybe 4 inch, but 6 inch is standard for cool tube fittings). You might be better off getting the 80 or bigger.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably have to make the diy cooltube. I haven't seen any small enough to fit in a 24x24" box.

Warpainted,
I use a 250 watt HPS in a wardrobe cabinet. DIY cooltube and 170 cfm centifugal fan speed controlled -running half speed.
No heat problems at all once I moved my Lumatek ballast outside. Inside temps are about 2-3 degrees above ambient. And the tube is cool enough to hold.

petemoss, how loud do you say that set up is??? looks great. is it unknown that its there when you close the door???
