2400W + Flip-Flop = 4800W *GR Design Advice*

I was going to rush these LUI seedlings and then attempt to pull 120+ cuts from the best females and flower em out to find my Ortega pheno... I had a change in heart. I don't have that much time to wait with no trees. I'll let the seedlings turn into full blown mothers and cull my males out then take my cuts. Much easier and makes more $. :jump: :jump:

I'm wondering if anyone has run WW in a SOG? I've got 13 female, purple pheno white widow from Nirvana, and i'm about to take my 120 cuts from these and stick em in my 4x8 table under 1800 watts.

I know my phenotype, and it's not a huge stretcher but it does stretch a little bit. I'm wondering how long I should veg after they root in my aero cloners? 7 days? 12"? I've only got like 3 & 1/2 or 4 feet height wise. Can I lollipop these indica/sativa mix girls?

How do I make lollipops on a 60 day strain?

Thankkkkkkks :joint:

Lollipops?

Lollipops?

I've been looking everywhere on how to lollipop an eight week strain, give or take a few days. It's WW, and it's a short, tight, purple phenotype. I know my genetics, but I don't have a clue as to how I should trim in order to have 128 lollis in my 4x8 table?

Any advice? I don't want to stress the girls too much, and I certainly don't want hermie shit from the stress.

Search function revealed nothing at all, well, nothing useful anyway.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, and BTW... IC is getting incredibly boring. We need to jump start this shit or something.

Trimming roots to balance growth, questions!

Trimming roots to balance growth, questions!

Okay so I'm about to take my clones tomorrow and wanted to ask a few questions to make sure I've covered my can in the long run. The donor plants don't have as many 4-6" clones as I'd like, so I'm going to have to take at least 3 smaller cuts from each, like 2-3", and I'm worried about an uneven canopy at the end of flower. My solution was to obviously keep the clones as close in height as possible and then trim whatever plant's roots that is outgrowing the rest of the pack. Is this a good idea? Will it even work? I'm not talking butchering my babies here either. Any suggestions on this topic?

Once everything roots in the aero-cloners, they go to a 4x8 table in 6" pots full of hydrotron. Just in case you had to know, like, maybe it makes a difference in this case?

Speaking of 4x8 tables and hydrotron... if I just wanted to fill my 6" pots full of tron, and not pour any in the table itself, would I be at risk of algae? Based on flooding for 12-15 minutes every 4 hours, once halfway through the dark period. I was even thinking about putting down a 4x8 Cocotek mat in the table, but I really don't know what the benefit would be? Water retention with a good air ratio? +++?

Thanks! I'll be staring my log tomorrow, pics included!

600 Lumatek problems?

600 Lumatek problems?

Okay, so I have 3-600w purple lumatek ballasts. I'm using 3 cool tubes and 3 HPS lamps.

They all worked fine, and everything looked good up until a few days ago. I noticed one of my lamps not flipping on and I've done everything to figure out why it wont fire up.

So, I finally got it to work, by switching the cord with another ballast and I noticed it flip on. The only thing is, it's like super dim. It's like at 20% of what it normally lights. What's going on?

If I have a 20A breaker with 2-600's and 1-400 watt magnetic. The math says it's fine, but shit?

Electrical Wiring Help?

Electrical Wiring Help?

I'm about to wire up my 4.8k space, 25A or so specifically for digital ballasts on a flip-flop, and the rest for pumps, fans, etc.

Basically, I have 3 breakers that I can pull power from. They're not directly next to each other in the breaker panel either. The first 2 breakers are 120V 15A, the last one is 120V 20A. I'd like to know what I'll need to wire my grow space professionally.

Will I just unhook the 3 breakers that are available now, and then add one 240V 50A breaker to the main panel? Run 10/3 wire to the grow space and connect it to a sub-panel box with 2 - 25A breakers? Then connect one sub panel breaker to the flip-flop, and the other breaker to a strip stationary of outlets?

Can anyone give me plans for a flip-flop for my system? 4 ballast / 8 lights.

Do I need a load center? Can I build one? Where does my light timer fit in?

Thanks so much IC. I've been going apeshit trying to figure this out. I've worked with electric before, and I've bought the HD Basic Home Electric book... so I'm confident in my ability to do this.

Will someone build me a custom Flip Flop?

Will someone build me a custom Flip Flop?

I really need a custom Flip Flop built. I'm using 4-600W Lumateks, and 8 SunSystem Reflectors. Now my ballasts are 120V, but I'd like to be able to keep my AMPS lower, so I was wondering if I could power using 240V?

I know that digital ballasts need to be restarted if they're on a Flip Flop, but I really don't think I can take the time to shut them off everyday. It's just ridiculous. My spot is not easy to get to... if you know what I mean.

Please, someone send me a PM or post on this thread or something. I'll pay for the parts and the labor.

I e-mailed [email protected], but have yet to get a response. Even still, if you want to make a few bucks, help a guy out and build this Flip... PM ME!

Later on.

2400W + Flip-Flop = 4800W *GR Design Advice*

Hey IC, before I go ahead and start posting pictures... I thought I'd finish my room up. Again, I'm building another, upgraded GR... and I'm freaking stoked. I've got a Flip-Flop, Load Center and PLC being built to run my 4-600W Lumateks and other equipment. I basically just wanted to get some feedback on my set-up.

I have a 15L x 9W x 5H flowering chamber, split in half with a sheet of PandaFilm. I'm going to run a 4'x8' E&F table full of LUI on the left side, under 2,400W of HPS lighting. I've got a 6" scrubber, and in-line fan to cool the hoods... and the hot air gets pushed outside. On the other side I will run 10-3.5GAL. rdwc buckets under 2,400W. The strain will be either Sensi Star or more LUI. This side also gets a 6" scrubber and fan to cool the lights... and it too will exhaust the hot air outside.

I have a dehumidifier to keep the humidity in check for both flowering rooms, and one passive intake for fresh air. Should I put a 6" fan in front of my intake to bring more fresh air into my space? Would C02 greater increase my yields in this situation? Temperature usually sticks around 78-80 F.

Now, my other space is for cloning and vegging my mother plants. I've got a 400W MH bulb on a 6RPM light mover over 8-10 mother plants and 4-60 site aero-cloners. I was wondering if that's enough light to quickly re-veg mothers and quickly root cuts? I'll have a 6" fan and scrubber in here too soon, also pulling hot air outside. I have a passive intake in there too.

I plan on a SOG grow in my table, and a SCROG grow over my buckets. Looking to see what yields more in my situation. I'll start a diary when it's time. Thanks!

Any advice?

I'm looking to pull around 10#s this time so STAY TUNED. LUI is HEAVY and DANK :)

Is 75w/sq.ft. OVERKILL?

Is 75w/sq.ft. OVERKILL?

I'm in a space that's like 9' wide, 15' deep and 5'6" tall. I've split the room in half with a wall of panda film, and it basically turns out to be 2 rooms, both housing a 4x8 e&f table, both with 2400w over each table. I've got 4-600 lumateks on a flip flop.

Anyway, my question is... over a 4x8 table... I'm at 75w per sq. ft. Is this overkill or perfect? I must add that by the end of my grow, my LUI girls will end about 5-6" from the glass on the reflectors. So it's intense too.

If I can get the same yield running 3-600's; I obviously want to do that. It's cheaper.

Anyone?
