24 hr light/flush

I was thinking lastnight about when you flush your plants near the end to get all the nuts out. I like to do 2 weeks but I know that 1 is fine.

What I would like to know is in that last week of my 2 week flush, would leaving the lights on 24hrs burn more nuts. I just thought that if the light is on it would have to use energy/nuts.

I'm not trying to speed up the flush or trying to get more out of the last week.

All I care about is a good smoke not how much gram/watt people talk about.

Most times when I flush I just leave it 12/12 and flush about every 2-3 days to get the PPM down low.

Leaving them on for the last two weeks will really stress plants that are flowering.I would not do it.

Its only the last week of 2. Also why would stress matter, about 90-95% of what the plant will make is all grown. Also Im cutting it not letting it grow/flower more so why would stress for only 7 days then cut down hurt? (maby over dry/heat burn? only thing I can think of)

As said I don't care about the last gram or 2 I just want to know if this will burn the most nuts/ or make a better smoke.

24 hours of dark would be better. Plants send nutes to the roots during dark period. Also cutting the stalks by candle light would help so the plants dont start drawing up nutes when they see light.

how do you know exactly when the plant is going to finish?

sending messages to the plant to go back into veg rather than to ripen for the last week doesnt sound like a good idea to me, but i guess the only way to find out for sure is to try it...

Just flush 1-2 weeks before chopping. If you are using organic nutes the 1 week is fine and thats it. No dark or light period should be changed before chopping as it makes no difference. Just cut them when they are ready.

Plants will continue to flower happily as long as they have 12 hours of uninterrupted dark 5 times a week.

As for flushing, you can achieve the same effect after harvest by drying and curing the bud properly. That way you don't have to starve the plant of nutrients for it's most productive one or two weeks.
