220w mini grow

cab: 1.75' x 1.75' x 5' ( 15.3 cu. ft)
light: 150w hps + 70w hps (220w hp total)
ventilation: 2 50cfm bathroom fans ([??] unless better option for around $20)
soil: regular fox farm mix, mixed with some spent foxfarm mix (that's been ammended slightly) and MiracleGro "organic choice"

Also, probably some kind of home-rigged cooltube or cooled hood.

Now, this cab is gonna be small obviously.
The dilemma for my friend was whether or not he should

(A.) Grow "Masterlow" (mid-potency lowryder hybrid, 60 day total lifespan)

(B.) A C99 cross (Giant Cindy), but only veg for a week, or introduce into 12/12 from the beginning.

With the c99 he says he wants to find the best one for cloning out of 10 beans.

So is there anyway to grow 9 or 10 sativa doms like c99 in a 1.75 x 1.75 cab? What size pots would be needed?

I was thinking nine or ten 1 gallon grow bags might fit, and just keeping them dwarfs.

That way, he could still clone the best, and next run there'd be proper space for the couple he keeps.

How's this sound to y'all?

(I just realized this) I'm not sure about how the preflowering on the strain he wants to use goes, but after the men plants show, he could remove them and have probably double the space, so he could transplant the remaining broads into bigger containers.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that he was thinking of throwing in a 40w compact flouro too, for a total of 260w (although I'm not sure the flouro will make that much difference or not). And he wanted to see if that was a good idea.

why numbers 9 in under 4 sq ft....in that space i would grow 3 plants maybee four

10 beans to start with, then he says he wants to select the best female or two to clone. After males are removed it'd be more like 4-6 in 3 sq ft.

Not feasible?

if he wants to grow a pack of beans in 3 1/2 sq.ft its going to take a few grows...i would just start them on 12 and 12...you cant veg and grow out many plants in that space

So he should just germ 5 beans then you think? That's most likely gonna be like what, 2-3 females? Hmmm...

yes half a pack at a time...that way you can veg them a little and document which ones grew the fastest...biggest etc...etc...take your clones you mite find keepers in the first run and just clone them and save the other half a pack...peace

i grow perpetually a couple of plants ready every month....when i want to grow one of the crosses i have made i just grow like one or two seeds...if they past my standard test of 2 or more ounces per plant...amoung flavor..smell...than they are aloud to stay if not there gone..i just kikked blueberry out of my garden she takes to long to veg and is a picky pain in the ass...boggle gum has replaced her...its starting to look like white widow x boggle gum mite replace bogglegum...after i make a shit load of f2s of the bogglegum.

The c99 is better This sounds like personal smoke. save your beans. get 1 female growing bushy on 24hr light. pinch out the top every time you double your clones. you start your flowering with 2 week old clones 6 inches tall let them root well and put them under 12/12 light. If you want bushes pinch the tops out before flowering. Kolas pinch suckers out.Use side lighting. If this cab is 1.75 feet tall your gonna have some adjustments. May I ask 1.75' why? I would clone and save beans.

I have done this in 2 litre pots but the end the plants are deficient in somthing and root bound.

You could grow all 10 seeds in 1 gallons. This would be cramped. Pinch tops to keep short. Take cuttings to reduce height again. Number cuttings and clones. Flower mother plants. Keep female clones and mothers. Pick best plant at the end. You might not limit yourself to just 1 genetic makeup and pick the best two. I would not try sativa dominant because of space. Instead pick a good indica. It will still be fun. You might want to use a unamended soilless mix (without ferts) to use instead of fox farm. Then add all your nutrients in your water. This will give you more control and less guessing when to add nutrients or what kind.

Here is the thing. I know some breeders that have gone through HUNDREDS of plants to find that right girl so I suggest pop them all man and hope for the best. It might take ya a few weeks longer to go this route BUT once found she will give ya a full box of GIRLS to keep in your happy home. Find the mommy first then start pumpin out the kids.

Update:

Well he decided that 1.5'd x 2'w x 6.5'h is a better cab size.

With those dimensions six 3-gallon grow bags can fit, all ten of the 1-gallon bags can fit.

For ventilation: a stanley blower.

By the way, the strain is: (Green Giant/C99 x C99)

Ha,this method is called RNOG, or "Rat's Nest of Green"

My friend says he was thinking about trying to train each to grow a single cola some kind of way, since the strain most likely will be stretchy as hell (or so he figures)
