Sorry for the lack of updates, I was having interweb issues.

These ladies have been in flower for around 24 days. I have been keeping B and C in a big box with a couple of 42 watt 2700k CFL bulbs because I have a male Malawi in full bloom and want to keep them from getting hit with too much pollen. A has been getting pretty cozy with that guy though...

A:

B:

C:

Here they were last week:

I'll probably try to get another update later this week with better pics of the buds. They all smell like their mom: sour dairy funk.

As you can see buds started forming on my girls. And they still look healthy to me, didn't expected to manage this when i started the seeds.
I'm just training them using supercropping and by hanging "s" hooks on branches as weights (I think there are some in the pictures I took). I also take down any leaf that blocks light to lower budsites.
Maybe next time I have to cut any bigger leaf I'll take a BRIX reading of the sap, to see how they're doing. See you guys at the next update!

Here's my late weekly update...
For some reasons, likely due to a too low night temps, most of my plants have a severe P deficiency and hence only the bigger 'yogis' (i.e. Zamaldelica) are worth showing. First it looked like too much nitrogen and then like slight nutrient burns (which seemed reasonable due misjudging their 'hunger' and some trial and error with additives) so I cut the nuts down and flushed. It got worse instead of better and now the signs are pretty obvious although I have no real clue why exactly the have the selective P deficiency. Water/fert and rinse off pH are fine and the calculated ppm for all nutes are in range even though I have too much N for flowering but it's mostly ammonia and urea which shouldn't interfere with phosphate. The only thing left I can think of is root zone temperature (had to rise the bulb even higher as the hemp is stretching like, well, hemp); strange enough, the indoor Finolas which are very cold tolerant have the issue too but the outdoor Finolas don't have it though they have even colder!

Although in 12/12 for about two weeks, they don't show sex yet.

That's probably why they don't show sex or start flowering yet.. too much N.
Yea, that's for sure. I even got the two hemp varieties which should 'autoflower' at the age of a few weeks to stay in veg even under 14/10... wouldn't have thought that the effect of too much nitrogen might be that strong!
Still not sure if I should use the organic P/K chicken shit stuff or get a new inorganic liquid fertiliser... Last time I used the former my whole winter garden reeked like a chicken den on diarrhoea! Who needs a carbon scrubber for the ferts but not for the weed anyway? LoL!
Besides, it's really not practical to use those insoluble organic quasi slow release crumbs in small pots, let alone a yogi cup.
I start to see the advantages of hydroponics and inorganics/minerals for indoor growing.

Just as you mention this.... i just switched from mineral fertilizer to organics, so this is my first plant which i will fertilize with bio bizz bloom. :)

For a better planet!

Sorry to hear about that Ace purple haze x thai Tony. Would've been a nice one to see. Great job to the others competing, very beautiful plants.

Update on my Dutch Passion Skunk #11. Topped her a week ago, up to watering once a day. Noticed one big thing about growing in a little cup is that she requires more Cal-mag then reg plants. I doubled the dose to accelerated(10ml per Gallon) since last time and it shows for sure. One week or so left in Veg then straight to my 10/14 Sativa room. Doubt she will get much stretch due to 10/14 but I can't flip my other two rooms yet. Dutch Passion says her flowering time is 7-11 weeks and recommends pulling her week 7, which is really early but we shall see .

Be honest, they look like crap :) . Seems to me like they lack every single nutrient...

Had similar plants when:
- soil was too dense: no oxygen for the roots and water logged
- not enough drainage: again like above but also salt build-up = salinity stress and nutrient lockout
- poor light and not enough nutrients in the soil
- Too dry: roots die off and salts crystallise out

-> The white stuff (salts) covering the surface of your left cup indicates that you have one of those problems too.

My advise: Change the soil and make sure that you have some run off. Also, check the strength of the ferts you add and the pH.

Good luck, they need it even more than mine!
