I wonder how many of us are still in the game, cause by the lower number of +1helpful given to the latest update posts it seems like the interest in this thread gone down a bit compared to a month ago.

They all fainted in the face of EnA's pics... :D

Maybe it's just too many participants posting once a week for another two to three months? And right now between late veg and early flowering there's not that much of a kick to the pics (except Houdini-n-Aces).

I dont have anything in the running, but I am following along still so I can check out everyone else's plants. Im sure there are plenty of lurkers out there following too even if they're not +1'ing anything.

looks like every single round played before this one has more starters than finishers so far .....

is it possible there's a pattern here?

plaid? checks? paisley? fads fade fast.

i shoulda jumped ship long ago. after i burnt all fan leaves.
but the punishment seems to fit the crime. lol

so my learning curve goes both ways. i just wish i didn't have to document the pain i put those plants through. pain can be a decent motivator...properly applied.

Making mistakes are our greatest opportunities to learn something, so I wouldn't fret when things go wrong. Look at as an opportunity to learn and improve.

Ive lost count of the mistakes Ive made since taking up growing, but each mistake has gotten me closer to a better grow and end product.

Even though I dont have a plant in a yogurt cup, I do have 4 Mr Nice Shit females sitting in 1/3rdL containers. Probably around 300ml-325. I know its outside the 250ml limit, but if you all want some more plants to oggle Ill be glad to throw up some occasional ones until the end of the contest.

Weekly update. The Skunk #11 looks to be growing very nicely. Short flowering time so I will probably let her veg quite a bit more. Started feeding every 2-3 days now, all nuts, flushing every 3rd nut feeding. Still using AN products for veg, superthrive and Cal-mag. Has anyone grown Yogurt cups outside to compare the results? Good job and good luck to the others participating in the contest.

[EDIT] Having to withdraw my other 3 entries, Chemdog and both GTH #1 phenos. I need them for my main tent for heavy yield. If anyone was interested in seeing further growth of Green Houses Chemdog or Rare Darknesses GTH #1(new fem version) check out their correct locations in the "Seed Boutique Vendors" part of the forum.

Its funny, I have a bigger sister in flower of the little one I flower
in this demo.

She's in a 32 ounce container, coco hempy, as usual. Vegged a
few weeks and topped once, wanted to flower her quickly to judge
as a keeper female for a back cross.

Slightly root bound, and bulking up okay, for what passes as mass
for my grow style anyway, lol.

Can an auto drip feed be employed in a low watt situation like mine to
increase yield proportional to the effort/cost, timer and whatnot?

I hand water everyday, and have noticed the medium on some flowering plants
to be moist, but no drippage in the container before subsequent watering

My best harvest is 31 grams for a plant, and it was a sativa, lol. I hobby
grow, so obviously yield is not as critical as quality.

Just thinking out loud.

Try out Blumats. Its what Ive fallen in love with and its what I employ aside from hand-watering. Blumats were how I was able to grow the plant in my avatar. Blumats make your life so much easier, and trying to grow plants in small containers require constant maintainence and multiple waterings per day. Fudge that..

31 grams isn't bad. Sounds alot like my first few plants, and then my next few. Of course there's always room for improvement. I would have never though I could get a plant to produce an oz. of bud in a dixie cup, but sure enough it did with a 15gram main cola to boot. But if you want to increase your yield, please remember to feed your plants in flower. *cough ahem cough*

i've wondered about that.

i'm not sure that the drip feed would be a game changer if you can actually still get by with hand watering. i figure it's the lights that are driving the plants hard enough that the drip system and timer becomes necessary and not the other way around. on the other hand i haven't been able to answer the old "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" question no matter how much dope i smoke so all that is is me thinking out loud too

i agree with DC on this one ........ the timer and pump for the drip system are gonna run you around $100 together. depending on your set up i think it's possible to get the blumats going for about that. it wouldn't be anywhere near as fancy as some blumat set ups so you'll still have to stay on top of things but it would work. blumats are very easy to work with if you just follow the rules ........... and even when the rules get bent a little they still do the job.

I'll look into them, thanks for the input.

I actually have a decent pump, so it's really up to the battle between my
procrastination and my desire to modestly increase yields, lol.
