I'll be picking 20, dollar trifecta's like usual. Have yet to win on the derby, one of these years.

So far looking at 2, 3, 4, 8, and 15 but it may be hard to throw out the favorite. That’s my initial take after a brief look at the form. I’ll probably whittle it down after another look or 2.

I know this thread has run its course but didn’t want to start a new one. I would just like to make a shout out to American Pharoah. The Triple Crown winner won the Breeder’s Cup Classic on Saturday wire to wire with ease.

I was talking to a friend about it and told him when that horse broke from the gate it was almost like he gestured…beat me. It wasn’t the strongest field in the Classic but I believe that horse would have beaten any that would have been in that race.

Probably won’t see a horse like that the rest of my life and feel privileged to see his accomplishments as a 3 year old. First ever to win the Triple Crown and the Breeder’s Cup Classic in the same year.
