2000watt bio shed

well my design is basicaly the same as BIGTOKE's except I'm using HYGROMITE instead of lava rock, I've added airstones, and I'm using CUTTING EDGE SOLUTIONS nutrients instead of GH. it's supposed to give about the same results as GH but in a much cleaner nute with a lot less fillers. I have a 950 GPH mag drive pump hooked up to 9 buckets in a FULLY SEALED ROOM. there is a 400watt(left), a digital 600watt(middle), and a 1000watter(right) all being cooled by a 747cfm vortex. strains will be PURPLE URKLE, WHITE RHINO, TRAINWRECK, and BLUE DOT I have mothers of all these strands under a 400watt hps in a 2 1/2ft by 3ft closet. I also have 2 GRANDADDY PURPLE seedlings but they will have to wait till next round. anyway here's some pics.

here's my airpump wich is more than enough for 9 buckets

and these airstones were 20 bucks a piece but ther guaranteed for life and I'm really hapy with their performance.

clones

grandady seedlings

and the mother plants that have just gotten a BIT of a trim

the clones should be ready to go in within a week. peace

Awesome design, I will be watching. Some pitfalls I wish you to avoid:

Switchup those lights to all 600 watters, multiple wattages on the same "run" will cause canopy havoc.

Pick a strain, or two, and run with it... same problems as above. The bigger and more aggressive hybrids will overgrow your slow elite clones, also causing canopy havoc.

Also, nutrients in the system will not be ideal for all your plants if you run multiple strains. Trainwreck will burn, while Erkle is starving.

Uniformity is the goal, you will increase your yeilds this way, and have less work.

Agreed, this is one of the reasons I stick to soil. The staggered lights will help with the canopy problem, but in the end you want the plants to rcieve the most light possible. I would suggest going with Digital ballasts next round, to get the most out of your electric bill...looks like I'll be doing the same...good luck, can't wait to see some plants in the system.

CASEY, DAMAKKUS- stick around it should be a good show.

GERMANATOR-rule seams about right on, I've smoked plenty of it from the club but I havn't flower'd my mine yet, so well have to wait and see how she turns out. I wish I did have all digis, but I've got 1 and that'll have to do for now.

NEPTUNE- good to have ya along, I love your grows.
deffinately a good suggestion if I WANTED a flat canopy, but my ceiling is very low on the left side and gets much higher on the right side. so having them arranged as they are, 400,600,1000 I get the cannopy to slope with my ceiling. here's a pic when it was 2 400s on the left and a 1000 on the right. this was also a mixed grow. I just put my urkles on the left since it is a very short branchy strain, white rhino on the right since it stretches the most and the others work just fine in the middle.

after this run I will narrow it down to just a couple strands but I havn't gotten to flower out my Trainwreck or Blue Dot. and the white rhino didn't get to finish out to it's full potential last time due to root rot, although I still got 9 OUNCES off of 1 plant. as for nute issues I was worried about that too but they realy didn't seem to mind so I'm just gona deal with it for 1 more round. of course I'd love to have all digital 600s but It's not worth it to me to just basicaly throw away 2 of my pefectly good lights and then go spend more money on new one's.

well the clones are just starting to root, I'll give them a few more days so that they've got some nice strong roots and then they'll go in.

peace

MID TOWN great way to deal with your surroundings with the slant and all and the lights you have.

I am sure you are aware that replacing the one 400 with a 600 would be much more efficient. But hey, you gotta deal with what you got. Thats how I do it.

Cant wait to see your updates. :lurk:

psshhhht! you don't need me, you got it all worked out!! Nice man, I like your style and thoughtful design! Great way to run strains and lights in a sloped room.

I will say, still, that a 600w can be as close as a 400w in most cases. :)
So it would still be possible to run 3 6's, but i getcha about tossing 2 already working lights.... maybe when one of them kicks the bucket eh?
