i light a 5' x 5' area with 1 1000 watter and it works just fine

It will light a 4' x 8' space or 5' x 10...But the size of your growroom will determine how much you use....If you have a 4' x 8' room, two lights would be overkill....You have to make room to "work" the plants...To fill the room with plants and not have room to work would be a bad thing.....JMO....LC

If i was going to invest my time/money into 2000 watts I would also be using some kind of light mover which gives you even more room to work with but thats me. Be it the track or the circular mover you could get more use out of you lights.
