2 x NFT's joined together and chiller...

I am getting two of these very soon

2.1m long, 530mm wide

Its for a loft setup so they are the biggest trays I can get through the hatch...

Its going to have 5 x 400W verts inbetween the 2 NFT's

I am thinking of joining the 2 trays together with 2 x 1" pipes on hostails then putting a 3/4" hosetail near the bottom of tank 1 and a pump in tank 2 for a HC300-A Hailea chiller I already have.

What are your thoughts on this? I am concerned about the dreaded root rot

I got a loftie too. I run NFT with full hydro.



I run an 8' x 3' twin gravity table. 14 x 6.5L pots. Hydroton & constant feed via drippers & recirc to a 100L res. 3 x 600 Coolstar Hid.

Hello Iffy....nice setup you have there Is your loft about 3m high?

I can just stand upright at the apex, so 6'. But the lights sit there, so I'm always at a stoop - not good for my back! I got a little seat on castors I scoot around on lol.
Lofties are known for their height issues, thats why I chose a simple gravity table. You find a real low-level res & work back from there.
