2 Way Radio Suggestions

Found I have a use for this kind of thing. Can anyone suggest a good pair of 2 way radios that I can keep in contact with someone walking thru the woods, up to a mile or so away from each other?

I was looking at these Motorola Talkabout MH230R

but thought there has to be something better maybe? They will get wet in the rain.

I got Motorola ones with earpiece and mic.....cant have a noisy radio giving you away....their distances given are usually totally flat area with no obstructions.... in field use tends to be less...you can always bag the unit if you got the headsetup to make it waterproof...

They are damm good at a mile, in the mountains and desert.

I have never tried them at their 23 mile advertised range
