2 room split ventilation

I have 2 10x10 room with a 7ft ceiling that I want to ventilate using a y split.Each room will have 4k aircooled lights.I'd like to use a 6" or 8 " intake fan per room.How would I go about using filter/fan size combos??.

The rooms are seperated by a plywood wall.Located in the basement,in which cool air enters both rooms and plan on venting thru a small 7" x16" basement window.I am also using climate controllers. I'd really appreciate all your inputs..

an eight inch vortex hooked up to a phresh 8x24 carbon filter would be a mimimum for 4k. a ten inch setup with a speed controller would be better, especially during warmer seasons.

an 8" fan is NOT going to pull enough heat from 4k, especially if it's also pulling through a filter. it would work better to separate the functions.....8" for scrubbing, and 10"-12" for lamp heat and this should be for each room.

If you're splitting rooms, you'd need 14" fan for 8k in lights. 12" could work if all hoods are in a straight line and no bends in ducting

I have a 6" can fan max fan pro and it works amazing for your situation you might want to look into gettin 2 6" fans and use 1 to vent 2 hoods can you post a pic of how your room is set up?

Thanks for the replies everyone. So i decided to rip out window/glass block .That freed up about 36"x8" of space which is plenty i believe. So my idea was to run 4k separately air cooled lights in each room.So it would be 8" fan/y split/2 sets of reflectors/y split/8" fan /duct to outside. The fan would be mounted in basement outside of grow room pushing cool air thru.

An 8" exhaust fan in each room, and a 6" intake fan pushing cool basement air in.But now here is the kicker.I didn't realize that all those intake fans are going to suck the shit out of my basement turning it into negative pressure. I am talking about 2100 cfm give our take with at least 1400 cfm going for air cooled reflectors.

A HVAC buddy of mine told me this,he also mentioned that i might have an issue with my furnace/hot water heater/ac unit and carbon monoxide!!!????

So now i have to reconfigure my set up and figure out how to maybe replace the air in my basement. My whole set up was based to not having to use ac units so i can keep cost down.

1: I can leave a window cracked open in the winter and spring time in my basement to bring air in,but that won't work in the summer since it can get humid(south great lakes area)because cool ac air will escape thru it.

2:Run a duct to a y split from outside the house to each grow room using filtered fans to bring cool air,but that again wont work in the summer.

3:Go vertical which means minus the 2 8" fans from the equation, leaving me with 2 6" intake fans,by cracking the basement window slightly open ,and hope my basement temps stay in the 70s at summer time.

4:Run the lights inline with filter but still have to run intake fans in basement to cool room..

Any other suggestions???
