2 plants in 1 Pot?

I transplanted yesterday to 5 gallon containers. I had 5 girls and 4 pots and did 1 plant per container. Can I double up on one of those 5 gallon containers and add a second plant? I was going to get rid of her l(red solo cup) as she was lagging but she has really grown in the last day or so and I don’t want to get rid of her. Growing in FFOF is that matters.

you can pot 2 into a pot.
problem is one will do well other will be slow.
your gal pot would be better than 2 in 1 pot.
also being a smaller pot it will grow faster.

there are some factors to consider

size as mentioned but strain as well

sister plants or clones of the same plant do not compete for resources but dissimilar strains do

Great advice from those answering!

Plants can get awfully root bound if 2 are cramped into 1 small pot- decreased yield, harder plant food uptake. FFOF runs out of steam, so you'll need to amend with plant food, epsom salt/water.

in a scenario like this (soil & pot) it only makes real sense to do this if the pot is too big for one plant

Thanks everyone for the advise. I’m going to put it into a 1 gallon pot and let it grow it’s Christmas tree shape and not train. I got 4 other plants in there that I fimmed and don’t expect to much more space in my tent
