2 extractors, 1 filter?

with summer coming up i was going to upgrade my extraction to a 250-325m3 per hour unit from my little 4in 175m3, the thing is ive just been given another fan the same size from a good friend, he say run 2 extractors but that means knocking holes in walls a ceilings,
my plan is to run the 2 fans into a single length of 5 in duct and filter at the end using a 4in into 5in Y piece and some clamps,
ive just been stung with huge vets bill so trying to save a few quid and improve my grow room in time for next crop,
the room is than about 3.5ft by 3 ft with a 600hps and 250 mh with a few clip on fans to keep air moving and small 75 m3 ph inlet


any thoughts on this , would it work?

can be done with a 'y' split, prob not needed if you just got one powerful fan.

2 fans on one cf, would imagine the cf running out sooner due to more air being pumped..

keep in mind the air flow rate of the cf..you could have 3 fans if the air flow rate is low its not going to pull more air, period!.

i have 2 175m3 per hour 4 in fans , i was going to use a 5 in cf as its used in kits moving upto 400m3 per hour so should be ok , air flow in the room is good i just need more of it lol
