120V x ?A = 600 Watts
600Watts/120V = 5 Amps per light.
You could run two lamps with ease on this cricuit and have 5 amps to spare for fans or other devices.
Good advice.Berry_Coughin' said:600 watts is just the bulb... you have to take into consideration the power the ballast itself is consuming, which actually bumps me up to 6a for each 600
x2 = 12a
still ok.......
Not a bad idea at all, especially with digitals.Grownz said:You can try it and you'll probably be ok.
If you have the lights come on a min or two after each other you'll probably be even safer, but you're gonna be pushing the safe limit and if it's old wiring that's even more risk.
I run 2x600w on a 15amp breaker all day long with 2xexhaust fans, oscilating fan, air pumps, but i'm from a place that runs 230V so it works out better.
