Anyone have this setup? I am looking into either adding a light mover or one more light? Which in your opinion would be more efficient? I run SOG with around 7-8 days veg.

Well... efficiency might imply the highest yield per watt used? So I would venture to say... you'd be better off with the light mover. It uses almost no electricity and will be guaranteed to increase your yield without increasing power consumption.

If power consumption is absolutely not an issue and only max yield per sq. ft... 3x 600s in a 4x8 will be SICK. You will be able to pull some weight from that tent. Have fun!

Edit: Just curious, what do you pull now from your hydro hut w/ the two 600s? I've been thinking about dropping my 1k for another 600 to drop power use. I've been seeing a lot of people growing trees w/ 600s and not seeming to have any problems with light penetration. Although w/ your SOG I'm sure it's not hard to to get the GPW pretty high.

Thanks for the kind input my brotha:) Power consumption is not a huge issue but is for sure lurking around. I have been running a single 1000w HPS room and a Pioneer 4 bulb T5 for over 2 years with no problems. Is 3 600's going to be a huge jump from that as far as electricity spike?

I've done 3 600s in a 4x8 and it would kick ass over 90 clones..

But also the mover can work well too.. with two 600s you will have a 3f spread apart. giving only 1 foot or so side to side to cover your area..So not much light is away from plants for too long. maybe you could do two grows, and try both and then post results..

Well, it's going to be almost double your original power consumption. If you want to keep the bill about the same I'd stick with two 600s on a mover. But if you can pay the bill, 3x 600s definitely isn't enough to be sketchy in any way. For me, here, I'd maybe pay an extra $15-$20 a month on electric for that extra 600 at the most. So, it would be worth it, to say the least.

Milehigh - This will be my first time growing in the Homebox XXL. I have been growing in a 3.5x3.5 closet with 1000w Hortiulux with 6" Radiant Hood, 14 Site ebb and flow vegged around 7-10 days LST'd just a bit. Have been pulling between 16-18 OZ. of DP WW every time. Just looking to expand and use my new lumatek 600's:)

A few months back I added a 600 to a Small Homebox and the bill only went up 20-30. I am now the only person living at the house instead of 3.... It's on like donkey kong:)

2x600 on a mover will work well on a 4x8 area. Theres a big thread on here with a member consistantly getting 3lbs with that setup on a flood and drain table

Stoney ran a large SOG and tried different variations of 600s including 3 stationary 600's versus 2 moving 600's. He swears by the 2 600's on a mover. Actually he says the 3 600's may give a little more yield but not worth the expense

how many plants are you running in that 4x8 tray and how much you yielding with 2 stationary 600's.

hey guys to be honest i have not filled her up to the brim yet with plants on both sides. right now i just work out of one side of it and I seem to be doing fine. I am in the process of getting 32 2 gallon pots in there and if each of these can yield an O (very feasible with a 2 gallon pot, good strain, and rotating the pots around to make sure they get light to every possible spot) then I will have a minimum of 2 pounds. I really feel I could get an O and a half off each one of these to 2 Os. So really with the 2 stationary 600s I think I can get by with a 2-4 pound harvest. This would be nice because then i could just grow one time a year and have my supply for the year. I do not smoke but a gram or two a day and that is with my brother and friends. Good luck guys and if you have any other questions please shoot. I love to help people and get things figured out. Peace and smoke IC fam.
