1st time outdoor growing

so ive grown a plant indoors but not outdoors this will be my first time
is there any common problems that indoor growers usually make outdoors? what numbered fertilizer should i use for outdoors?
and finally...is it safe to plant 1 plant on your own property as long as other vegitation is growing around it and its within 8-10 feet of a tree? i just really really dont want to get busted with a platn on my property

well if you have a fertilizer that worked greaton your plants indoors there's no reason why it shouldnt work on outdoor plants. growing in your yard being safe is your decision but many people grow in their yards every year and get away with it

if your not sure of it beign safe i wouldnt chance it. weed smells and if your neighbors are close they will most likely smell it. on hte other hand. outdoors is simple. the sun does most of the work. if you have grown before u shouldnt have too hard a time.

ive kept a few small plants in my yard before around the edges of my yard near the woods and sometimes i had trouble finding them, just put them in high grass or weeds that cover the container ect....

okay now i have one more question
if i start to grow them inside for about a 2 week period before plantning outside should i put them underneath a HPS, fluro's, or both?

If you start inside you can put them under any light you want. The only suggestion I have is if you use fluoros ween them to the strong sunlight. Don't put them directly in the bright sunlight when you take them outside. Give them a few hours of direct sunlight a day until they get used to the sunlight.

Growing outdoors is the supreme challenge. Security has to be 100% or it is a write off and your personal security has been compromised.

If your in an area subject to aerial searches, I would not attempt a close to home grow. If the plant is spotted, there is no denying the connection.

If you can find a suitable remote site, the risk of being charged is reduced because there is no property connection.

Starting them indoors with fluorescent lamps is fine for the first couple of weeks. Once they outgrow the lamps, they are ready for transplanting outdoors. Save your HPS for flowering, the extra energy is wasted on seedlings.

okay but you say if i use fluro's i have to ween them to actual sunlight...if i use a HPS will i still have to get them used to the sun?
and how the hell do i know if my area is subject to areal searches

ps: in about an acre of overgrown tall grass and spotted with trees i plan to grow near underneath the canopy of the tree. im just super sketchy because i dont want to get caught...am i just freaking out? i want to really know what the chances of a helicopter seeing one plant around all the farmland of my property

because really they're the only ones who could answer your question.

if it's a help, I have done backyard grows for the last 5 years or so.

the key to success is being discreet. if you just be sensible - find a nice sunny spot in a quiet corner of your section and grow a small number of small, discreet plants - you will be fine.

on the other hand if you try and grow dozens of monsters in the middle of your lawn you will probebly get locked up.

there are some very interesting techniques to keep plants small - i tie and train my plants during veg growth and also use relatively small pots, 2 gallon.

a side benefit of having small plants in a small container is that it is easy to move them to a hiding place should unexpected visitors arrive.

Hardening off a plant is seldom a problem. I have never had a problem going from flouro to Sunlight, the plants love it.

At worst, an indoor plant may have weak older leaves. Loosing these leaves does not harm the plant.

You mentioned the concern of about helicopter searches. Your government expends a tremendous amount of resources in tracking down and eliminating Cannabis plants. They do it by flying low and slow over suspect areas with trained observers plotting the location of plants. Later, a ground team will show up to eliminate the plants and arrest those responsible.

Don't take it lightly, the consequences of being arrested are serious, life altering serious. :pointlaug

i was going to just put them in the ground, not in a container...whats the advantages and disadvantages of this?
and so, stoner133, you dont think there would be any help by also turning the HPS on along with the fluro's?

yes hps is pretty usless on seedlings. also when do you plan on starting these plants? if you start them now and keep them in your yard your going to have monster's by the end of the summer i wouldnt start until late june.

I grow monsters in my yard every year. :yoinks: I find a five gallon pale works best.

so if i was trying to make the plants smaller from aerial view should i super crop them, or just let them grow normally?

well if you started them in june you should'nt have to worry about a chopper even coming close to seeing them because they wouldnt get more than a few feet high. thats all up to you and how you want your plants to develop

ohh and one more thing your fogetting these chopper's ae looking for large grow's. if they were looking for a small marijuana grow they wouldnt be on helicopter's because they would'nt find them if they were
