Whats up everyone?? Im a newb and a first time growr about 2 weeks in my gro with 3 babies (in potting soil under a 400w mh @ 18/6). I plan on switching to hps 12/12 in about a month. I have pics on the way to show you how theyre doing so far...
Whats the easiest way for a beginner to provide the young plants with ferts/nutes?? Do you recommend any I could get without having to order online?? If I had to order online, which ones?? How do I add them to soil?? Thanks for your help and feedbacK!!! :rasta:

Well I recommend the Botanicare Pure Blend Pro, or known as PBP around these parts

Not sure where you would get them, I go to a local hydroponics store close to me.

Easy to use, just add water, and mix, directions are on the of most any nutes I have used

They are too young for food, give them until they get their 3rd set of leaves or so, then start at like 1/4 strength

I knew they were definitely too young to start feeding, I just want to be ready for when the time comes...as I'm discovering growing is a fun but slow learning process where even from all the books I have purchased and read nothing hits me more then first hand experiences or input from you guys.

Heres the first sprouter about 11 days after I planted the germinated seedlings:

so when the time is right just add the food to the soil at 1/4 strength every other watering...is this accurate??

where can I get a decent PH tester??
I should have had all these things ready but I've had so many setbacks since I bought the mh/hps setup that my patience has grown thin and I decided to just get the plants started all ready!!

By the way if anyone is interested, these are some headies bagseed I acquired over the past year.
...I forget exactly what strain but I get nothing short of fire bud so I'm sure I'll be surprised with something quite nice. I have about 10 seeds of super silver haze but due to the difficulty Ive heard with that strain I decided to try the bag seed first. I'm really impressed/thrilled/excited with this so far and I can't wait to stop paying for Nature's gift!! :rasta: :rasta:

No you can get a soil formula, I use it it is pure blend pro grow and bloom formulas
I also use a product called Liquid Karma, which is like steroids for your roots

So it is PBP btw

That is pretty much it, get yourself a syringe, you will be measuring out small amounts, like 5 ml /l hard to do with measuring cup

YOu are best getting them out of the soil for a while before feeding them, that miracle grow stuff can be a bit hot for young plants

No prob

Yeah, if you can try and transplant them, with a soil that has nutes in it already you have no control, if you are a newb, then you want a bit of control, till you learn what to look for

Kind of was a mistake to get those plants going in there, but could be nothing, could cause a problem.

If I were you I would leave them in there and just watch them, once they are ready, put them into the new soil

That was less stress on the plants, rather than uprooting them and repotting them, do that if they get burnt
