Hey guys this is a little outdoor project for this year. It started with a friend giving me 52 seeds of what is supposed to be afghan strain (not quite sure of it, but they all seem to be the same pheno as you can see in pictures) which he got from his smoke stash i think :trampoline:

...anyhow with the invesment realy low with seeds and all i thought i would try outdoor for the first time :jump:

atm they are under a 60w "growing light"(at least it was advertised for that in local hardwear shop) where i hope to get them strong enough to move outside :) . the light is fixed about 15-20 cm above the plants, it feels comfortable when i hold my hand underneath

i ll just skip to the current status which is:

- from 52 seeds in begging it came down to 35 living plants(17 plants under my supervision :dance013:)

-alot of seeds didnt germinate even after they were watered for several days in soil (9 bigger plants on pictures were done by this method and by now they were transplanted 1 time from little germination pots)

-might add here, that i tried to shake the seeds which wouldnt germinate in a matchbox and then puting them in the wet paper but they wouldnt give :witch:

-i decided to try germinate the remainng seeds with the wet paper towel technique, i also used the biodegradable pots and out came the younger plants on pics (8 plants and got transplanted in litte biger cups than the earlier round)

....so far i had 3 accidents:

-killed one plant after got tired of waiting to drop the seed casing, so i removed it with toothpick and discovered it was completly rotten underneath...

-killed one after i though it was another bad seed , but once i removed the dirt i saw it had germinated but not breached surface

-and today was a realy bad day, after reading A Complete Guide to Topping, Training and Pruning on forum i deceided to give them a work out :yoinks: they all took it well, but this one plant that cracked emidietly after trying to train it a bit, out of the crack came 3 little drops of fluid :badday::badday::badday:
i gave it some support with a pencil but realy dont know if it gona make it:thinking:(last 2 pics)

ok so the questions are:

-is the current light strong enough? ( im guessing its not) :muahaha: and what would you recommend

-when are they ready to be transplanted again (keep in mind that the bigger ones are little over 3 weeks and the smaller ones are little over week younger )

-how long should i wait before they are big enough to go outside?

... because there are alot of pics  they are in rar(round 21mb), here ya go:

EDIT:

my god forget about me wondering if the cracked plant is going to make it , just made an inspection and the plant can stand on its own just after 6 h amazing :bigeye:

no that light is not enough to harden those plants off before you put them outside. i dont think that the size really matters. i just think you need to make sure the plants are tuff enough to make it outside.

Try to get yourself a 27w CFL bulb for each plant. This will allow you to put the bulb about 1" from the top of the plant. The high level of lumen from even a small source of light can be all you need. Make sure you rough them up a bit with your fingers and hands, and always make sure they are getting ass kicked by your circulation fans and they will transfer outdoors without too much issue.
