Hey everyone well this is my second post on this forum. I was planning on posting earlier but I just now got accepted. I got some fem seeds from a friend and planted them. I am using crappy soil and bottled water and beastie blooms nutez. For lights I have 4 23W cfls. This is my babies in the 4th week of flower. Tell me what you think and if anyone could tell me what type of strain it might be?

hmmm :chin: well judging by the way it is, and how it looks, looking at the photo, i can immediately tell that it shows signs that it's definitely weed.

sorry man it looks nice though :D

Lookin' great for a first time CFL Grow! Congrats! Welcome to a world where you'll never have to see a dealer again!

Unfortunately, there's no way to identify a strain conclusively based on appearances. However, the strain should have been listed on the seed pack your friends got, amybe he knows?

Hey man,
Welcome.
I'm a beginner as well. I'm on my third grow.
You're looking fine. I would suggest , if you want to stay with CFL, buy a 65w envirolite.
They put out 200w of light and will help in your flower. So far I've been using exclusively CFL. 6 23w daylight for veg and a mix of bright and warm for flower. The big enviro pushes over enough to produce nice buds that aren't too airy.

Good luck and keep us posted.
PEACE

no but you are losing a main cola that wont grow back to its original state

No you wont kill it but you'll kill whatever yield you would have had. Just leave it be and let it do its thing, looks good for just useing cfl. Next time invest in a at least a 400w HPS, and then you'll be liveing the "Nug Life".

I was thinking of topping my plants, they are about 35cm / 14 inches tall (the indicas), and the one sativa I've got is 40 cm / 16 inches.... and veggie them for a couple of days and then switch to 12/12
Will the plants recover?

the cut of tops I'd use as clones

If they are flowering now, no don't cut a top...
If they are vegging then by all means take a cut and veg them some more, then flower...
If you want to save a plant that is flowering, wait till it is done, don't harvest everything, and throw it into a veg cycle, 24hr light is perfect for revegging a plant...
You have to leave a few buds and leaves for that to work...
Will take a month or so and it should start revegetating...
Not much will happen for the first couple of weeks during a reveg, as the plant is reverting cycles, so don't give up if you try it..
