Inconsisitent watering leads to irregular root growth which leads to rootbound plants prematurely. Soil should be close to completely dry before watering again.
SB never mind the ISO question, it finally dawned on me what it is. Sometimes the wheels turn very slowly. Burned out too many brain cells back in the 70's and 80's LOL
I see, I water every other day, I water until the pot is soaked and i make 100% sure the pot doesn't stay that way. I try to water with room temp water so it can travel faster in the dirt and to not damage or hurt the roots. Before i water, i shake the container to make a lot of little bubbles that the roots love. I also leave my water outside i shake it some times to extract the clorine, or as much as possible(this way it stays room temp before i water).
I have a meter which checks the light, dirt moist, and dirt PH. There like 10-15$ at home depot or lowes. I can now water by just looking and feeling the dirt. Oh, Use a fan to blow your plants, this helps them breath better... when i used to water my plant, i would see drops of water on the leaves. I personally don't foiler feed, so i saw the fan plays a big factor... it seems that it helps the plant consume more water...
uhmmm, my room doesnt go above 85, at night its probably 70, if it gets colder i turn off the fan.
Your babies are starting to look fine. The LK is a good idea with the PBP for soil I hope. Don't love them to death OK. They don't need something everyday.
Too much water gives it that pale green color... and then you will see the tips cracking. Try not to pull off the water too quick, when you see that the dirt is kinda dry, add Half of what you normally give it, then 2 days later, feed it. Same thing happened to me when my plant was 1-2weeks old. Then after that, the leaves got darker, nicer.
Malan, Hank thanks for the input. I picked up some vermi tea today and foliar feed them. Probably could of waited a day but I wanted to start using it before it goes bad, only lasts for about 2 weeks. After that I'll put it on my non cannabis plants outside.
Grow big, grow strong, find more clones. Feed the soil not the plants. I just added to my mantra. LOL
I returned those 2 that weren't doing anything and picked up a Chem D sister and a Sour Grape. Gonna mother both of em out and see what I get.
Had gotten these from LAPCG and when I had first gotten the OG's I was told if they didn't root out to bring them back for an exchange. When I did they acted like they don't do that and said this was the last time I'd be able to. Different people different stories.
Will post pics later in the week. The other 4 are doing real good
socachi.. nice man looks good. I recently just did my first grow and it appears a lot more rudimentary than yours. Sounds as though you have done your research which is (obviously) key. Nice man.
thanks Dogscot yes I read some books Growers Bible, Marijuana Basics, MJ Garden Saver, also got some great advice from a grower I purchased some equipment from and also good advice from the forum.
It always amazes me when I see someone on here talking about how they are going to have 190 plants with 5000 watts and they have never even grown out one plant.... Hope it works out for ya...
Hank thanks started reading that one day didn't have time to finish than forgot where it was. And the gf thinks I only forget about things she says LOL, I'm a non-discriminating forgetter.
I talked with the gf again today about me growing and she's not happy, started to cry. Well we'll see what happens, hope to get her love and support on this.
socachi is that T-5's your growing under? If so lower them, I keep my T-5 about 2-3 inches from the tops. Sorry about your lady, can't live with them ect.... Does she smoke?
Hank yes those are T-5's, the lights were up because I was foliar feeding, I usually keep them 2" away except on new plants or seedlings. Maybe I should raise my seedling up she's getting older?
No she doesn't smoke and rarely drinks and when she does very little.
thanks Hank, I looked at them this morning and the mom's are doing fine, the clones look all wilted as they should but will hopefully all come back. Only time will tell.
Cheese the guy I had gotten these lights from had used them for both veg and flower, he sold them because he was going bigger. I'm going SOG hence the different lights. But he said he was successful doing both.
