1st Grow Please help along the way

I am currently growing using 3 3500k lights. I bought these at kmart and they said daylight and i figured thats good. well i was wrong and i have been expermenting withthe lights. I plan on buying 10 30 watt 2700k and 10 30 watt 6500k for about 78$.
Ive started about 6 plants just and one of them turned yellow.I still have one growing under the lights the rest i planted outside with no intent to watch them because they are mids/reg seeds
I am using all purpose miracle grow plant food(i found in my house) I was going to get Jacks CLassic fertilizer but is there any plant food that is good for veg that is locally available?(Lowes, Home Depot)

I Plan on growing 2 plants at a time with 5 lights per plant
When i order and put all the new lights in i will update.The one main plant that i had was in a bigger pot and it was very bushy but the leaves started to turn brown from the end of the leaves in. Then i saw that it had pistols so i threw it away. What happend with the leaves browning i dont want to face this with good seeds. Thanks

They also started to brown and these were bag seeds. I now plan on just growing one maybe a mother and a clone. I dont not have much space. I planted them outdoors and its spring break for me and its snowing so im sure there dead. I was thinking of buying seeds from www.weed-seeds.net I was planning on getting the LSD

It could have been female it was about 4 inches tall with one layer of about 8 leaves that were bushy

Hey Squeky have you looked into Pl-l?I started with cfl but just upgrade to PL-L and I'm a happy grower now.Best of luck.

Leaves turning brown from the end in is often a sign of over-feeding. If you are using a reasonable/good quality soil, the plants don't really need food until the roots have filled out the pot. This is especially true when the plants are young.

The only thing I'd give them when they're small is a root stimulant. I personally use "Rhizotonic", but I'm sure that there are other comparable products from many manufacturers.

Ok im going to need to find a better camera for some reason mine cant take a picture of a plant. The one that i an currently growing the pedals not the main leaves are turning yellowish brown i will try to post the pictures but they are very blurry. I put 1/4 all purpose miracle grow plant food in half a galloin of water.This seed that i am growing right now is not important. It is a seed from a friend who says its purple kush but im not so sure. I am just trying to make sure i have to right grow area so when i get seeds from an actual site they will grow. I dont like using miracle grow whats another good fertilizer for veg?

Im not too familiar with those lights but i searched them once and saw a 4800 lumen 55 watt 6500k for 10 bucks. could you post some links of good pl-l lights? Thanks

Well, as you say, it's hard to see what's going on there!

But definitely you should not be feeding at that stage.

As for what ferts to use in vegging (when they're ready), I'm no expert. In fact, I used to use miracle grow myself. Nowadays I don't fed them anything except a rooting stimulant during veg, I just use a good quality potting compost and wait until flowering before getting out the bloom fertiliser.

Just ordered lights and i just have one questions. Can one plant have too many lumens?
I am going to run 300watts and 20000 lumens of cfls on one plant

daylight lights are good for vegging, the other ones are pretty good for flowering, the daylight ones give off a more of a white light, the ones that are good for flowering are kind of an organish, yellowish light.

Im thinking ill start off with 10 lights which is 300w total and 20,000 and then ill start getting clones from the mother plant and only use 5 or 6 on the main plant and 4 or 5 on the clones

Now i might change up my entire setup. I saw a video on how to buy cheap HID lights and it actually worked. There is a person that lives an hour away from me that is selling (19) 400 watt MH Light fixtures with Ballasts and lights.(I would replace light) for 15 dollars each but im sure i can bring the price down lower. I tried to cancel my order from 1000bulbs but they were already shipped in one day. Now i have 20 cfls on the way but i could buy about 5 of the MH fixtures remove the ballast and sell it and make a profit. Decisions decisions... What would you guys do? IF i made enough money from the MH ballasts i could buy and HPS light fixture but now were talking ventalation which i have never thought of before.

That doesn't quite sound right. Be safe. Shady Equipment burns down houses. Don't get scammed either. An individual 400 MH with fixture and bulb would go for WAY more than 15 bucks.

Yes that is true but i plan on just using the ballasts in them if they are good. Here is the descriptionHigh Bay Metal Halide light fixtures with bulbs. Nice fixtures just a little dusty. Multi-tap 120-277 volt. 19 fixtures in all at $15.00 each or make offer. Need to move them! They are not grow lights but i am just going to take them apart and sell some of the ballasts to get money for a good HPS fixture. will 200w of CFLs 15,000 lumens do the job for the veg part of the grow. (The CFLs i have are 6400k) Just one plant then i am going to attempt a sog if i have enough room. Thanks for your concern i am a little skeptical with lights that should be 215.00 going for 15.00 each.
