1st Grow 400w cmh + 400 w hps WW x BB

This is my first grow and any critiques and feedback will be much appreciated. I am working with a 6 x 2 x 8 closet. Running two aircooled sunsystem2 reflectors, one is a 400w cmh and one is 400w hps. This room and lighting is used for veg and flower. A mod stanley blower is pulling air into the attic and it creates negative pressure so a passive intake is all thats necessary. All air is pulled through a DIY carbon filter hanging upside down above lights. I am growing 12 White Widow x Big Bud from clone (1 pot has 2 clones in it) and one OG kush x Snocap from seed (Not sure if its really OG ku x Snocap but thats what dude that grew the nugs i got it in said). All plants are in 3 gallon pots with an all organic potting blend from a local nursery. I used Biogrow for veg and am using biobloom, topmax, puravida bloom, and organic blackstrap molasses in bloom. Tomorrow will be the end of week 4 of 12/12. They were vegged until about a foot and a half and then topped and trimmed so i dont end up with too much popcorn. I am posting pics up till about week 2 and a half of flower i took new pics today though and hopeffuly will have those up tonight and be completely up to date.
p.s. i had some spidermite daamage cuz clones came with em but they havnt been around forrr a whileeee so hopeffuly im ok

my friend conveniently told me that i should watch out for mites about a week and a half into veg. I inspected and saw mites on msot of the plants. I sprayed them with this stuff called florakiller at like 2 ml/ gallon or sumtin i forget. I never saw any mite damage or sign of mites since then, but just in case i sprayed wit neem oil right before flipping to 12/12. At this point there is no sign of spidermites or spidermite damage on a single leaf.

i was wondering if you change the light cycle for the cmh or if both lights run the same... lol... anyways nice grow.. looks very good my friend

they both are on same light cycle 24/0 for veg and 12/12 for flower. I think having a full spectrum is really good for the plants but who knows. The cmh doesnt seem to run any cooler than the hps and the plants have been rotated and have had both lights on them whole time so i can't tell if one is better then other. Cant upload pics tonight but ill do it tomorrow.

alright so i got some pictures of my setup and the babies at just under 4 weeks 12/12. Some of the plants are starting to turn purple , at leaf ends. The plant that is doing this most is also the plant yellowing fastest and has slight burnt tips on fan leaves. Usually White Widow X Big Bud doesnt turn purple but my friend said it happens occasionally and its pretty cold in norcal right now. im more worried about the early yellowing. But Anywaysss they look gooooddd and heres the pics.

i see you did your homework b4 embarking on your growing journey. that is the biggest factor when starting.... info and comprehension of it. you gotz it down so far and it sounds like you have help from a growing friend.... or am i mistaken... that always helps out a ton. nice looking plants and great show of skills dude. keep it up and aim high!!!! i dig the strains!

My friends definately have helped alot, i got the clones free and they always check in and tell me if anything seems off. They dont have any experience with closet grows or flowering with 400s though, they all have thousands of watts. My biggest help has definately been this forum and Jorge's growers bible. I read that baby page to page b4 turnin the switch on. Ive been lucky enough to watch a few grows from start to finish in person b4 starting my own. All these things definately convinced me to do a lot of research b4 starting and to not expect anything amazing. I would be happy with a qaurter pound of dank buds in that tiny space for my first run. thanks for the support Rain, VT, and SirSmoke. Just checked the closet and it smelllsss gooooodddd.

not too much to post about the babies but heres a pic of some fineee golden honey bud and some bubblehash. Usually i see honeybud in clubs made with shitty black oil but my buddie got this stuff and it was made with top grade golden bho.

i should mention that this stuff gets me retardeddd

im 5 hours away from my babies an i miss them. lol. anybody know how i feel? when i get back ima pop some seeds to get ready for next run. My first run completely from seed. Im gonna pop some (critical mass x AK47 x Greatwhiteshark) some (critical mass x AK47 x Greatwhiteshark) x sour deisel, and some Champagne x afgoo. None of those strains have ever been grown indoors, but i have seen the best outdoor buds ive ever smoked from them (except the deisel cross which was a deisel clone that got polinated, its never been grown). im so medicated

just got home but babies were sleeping already. Soil was reallly dry. they went 2 days longer than usual without water. some wilted leaves. it was dark but i think a branch fell down from weight of nugs or sometin on one plant. I gave them a quickk watering in the dark cuz they reallllyy needed it. hopefully they look all better in the morning. My gf says im just worrying and that they will be resiliant. BUT i want my ww x bb to look like the dank nug i just got domed by by the way it smelt AMAZING and the nugs look good. Think my plants will bounce back by mornin with that quick watering?

ladies were a little mad I went away for so long. some dead curled up yellow leaves when i checked on em in the morning. I clipped off lots of dead/dying leaves and used string and duct tape to fix plants and branches falling over from weight of nugs. gf brought her tripod over so i took a few ladies out for some pics. heres the big update....hope everyone had a good new year

Plants look awesome man. That snocap x og kush sounds like a killer combo. I'll explain my molasses schedule. I use blackstrap up till the second last week of flower, once a week. The ratio is 1 tablespoon/gallon of water. I give my plants a feeding once a week with it. During the last two week, I use what is called fancy molasses here. It is more refined than blackstrap, so there is less of all the micro nutrients. I'll post a few pics of the labels in my thread next week, it will show the differences. Last week of flower just straight water. Hope this helps out man, great looking plants, they're liking what you're doing.

well my diy carbon filter works pretty well but i can still smell the plants whenever i come home and the house doesnt smell like bongloads due to my absence haha. I guess instead of gettin a nicer carbon filter ill just have to smoke continuously and mask the ladies smell with smoke. Threw a bunch of seeds in paper towels hope for decent germ rate.

Nice job so far! I'll be watching this thread, I am running a 400 HPS and was also thinking of getting a 400 CMH to put with the HPS to give them a more complete spectrum and a little more UV (or was it UVB?) Good luck on your grow!

thanks BR for the advice on molasses, and thanks for stoppin by smokesalot, i recommended throwin up a cmh with your hps, from what ive seen i can pretty confidently say you wont be dissapointed although who knows if it is any better than an all hps grow.
